"My recent visit to this Applebees was marked by a profoundly disappointing and uncomfortable experience. As the only black patrons at the bar, it was evident that we were treated less hospitably than our white counterparts. Despite the bar not being busy, the waitress seemed more interested in her own meal than serving us promptly. Ordering the all-you-can-eat option, we were never offered another selection, and our attempts to get attention went unanswered for over half an hour. The incident of the waitress dropping food on me and attributing it to a hot plate was disheartening. Witnessing our food handed to another white couple, then taken back, discussed in the corner, and eventually brought to our table, raised concerns about food safety protocols. Moreover, my husband endured a lengthy wait for his drinks, and the waitress even questioned if he had placed an order. The wobbly chair I sat in, which almost caused me to fall, went unnoticed by multiple employees, including the manager, who failed to address the issue. Having previously visited the Clifton location without incident, our experience at this Middlesex county branch was profoundly disappointing. We will not be returning to this establishment."

"If you dine in, then I would give this place 5 stars. I've been here a few times because I stay at the quality inn nearby for work and everytime I've dined in its been fantastic. But when I ordered out just the other day, the food quality was actually pretty bad. I mean, I ordered the 4 cheese Mac n cheese with honey spicy chicken tenders and they forgot the cheese for the Mac n cheese. I mean the pasta was bone dry like they just dumped it from the pot. With no cheese on it at all. The chicken tenders were barely coated in the sauce too. I even ordered extra honey spicy sauce and when I went to taste it, I literally could tell they watered it down. It was extremely mild and runny and tasted like it had no flavor. In the past it was never like that. That was just ONE of the 2 meals I purchased. All I can say is they definitely serve you subpar food for take out versus dining in and thats sad. Maybe I was just unlucky and got 1 night of bad service but I really don't care to spend another 30+$ to find out."

"We had a great experience with the endless riblets, shrimp, and wings promotion. Our server Ray was fantastic, our plates were never empty before another round of refills hit the table. He was very attentive and helped make our experience even better. We will definitely be back before this promotion is over!!"
