Cafe Amici

"We stopped by there years ago before we moved out of state and we were wowed by their XXL pizza. So we knew we had to stop in when we were in the neighborhood. The pizza was delicious as usual, the slices were gigantic and so good, the dough was crispy and the cheese and sauce were perfect. We also tried the cheeseburger empanada and I highly recommend it! We will be back whenever we are traveling nearby."

"Moved to the area in July. Needed a new favorite pizza parlor. Looked at reviews and picked Cafe Amici. I was glad I did, the pizza is awesome not perfect every time but they are consistent. Calzones and Rolls are great as well. Their garlic knots are the best, swimming in garlic butter, cheese and spices. This place is so close I could walk, but their food is too good to let it get cold. So I drive 2 minutes round-trip. If they tell you 20 minutes, it's 18 to 20 but never 21. Great service, clean restaurant,about 10 tables. Convinent location at the corner of Demott & New Brunswick. Try them for yourself, they won't disappoint."

"Good Pizza is hard to find. My several visits to Cafe Amici were surprisingly awesome. The pizza, sandwiches and dinners were all tasty. The perfect example of a pleasant Mom and Pop restaurant with a comfortably clean atmosphere. What impressed me several times during my visits, beside the delicious food, was that the staff knew the first names and orders of numerous other customers. This indicates a lot of return satisied customers. From now on, I am also another returning and loyal customer. I usually never post ratings unless I find the establishment to be noticeably outstanding or the complete opposite. Cafe Amici is well worth visiting and highly recommended by me to visit."

"Ordered take out with the bruschetta pizza with mozzarella, cheesesteak pizza, and some hot wings. they were delicious and had a great crust. will definitely order here again."

"Tastes great, but this is NOT Chicago style deep dish. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Moved to Jersey from Illinois, six months in and my deep dish cravings are stronger than ever. This place had good reviews and supposedly had an "authentic" Chicago style deep dish. Alas, it was too good to be true. The sauce is just dollops on top, and the crust is way different than anything you'll see in Chicago. It tastes good (and I would maybe visit again for other things on the menu) but alas, for this Chicagoland native it was a big let down."
