Reviews of Round K by Sol
"I love this place so much. My favorite is mushroom truffle toast it comes with scrambled eggs and is so good . And my son loves popcorn chicken and chicken burger! ♥️ coffee is amazing.. oh and staffs are very nice ! Thank you"
"A few of the food items are interesting but overall not a great dinning experience and will not be back. Wait at least 40 mins for the food to come out. And 15 mins more for the dessert. The seating options are odd with bar section that is narrow and right from of the kitchen, or small and dark seatings right next to the bathroom, or backyard option which would be better in the summer (I would still prefer to be cold than the other 2). For drinks, we got flat purple, yuja honey tea and latte, all simply not worth getting. For food, we had good morning L.E.S, I am avocado, and shrimp sandwich. The good morning L.E.S is not bad but also not that different from other places. For the I am avocado, the kimchi butter is unique and chili oil is nice to add a kick. They didn’t have the pickle egg that day, so was substituted with pickle cabbage. But portion is quite small for that price. The shrimp sandwich is decent with fried shrimp. The chips with honey drizzled on top. The round purple dessert is pretty and pretty disappointing. It is fairly dense which is not what I was hoping for. The ube cream is nice but light, however the yuja marmaiade is too overpowering."
"As you can imagine we ordered two popular drinks sweet corn latte and flat purple… I mean it was okay. Would I pay $10 for this agin? Most likely “no”. Unfortunately, our experience was not great. First of like any other small places ventilation system is not great had to sit there with oil smell. They have a small seating section in the back but once one group of ppl are talking you can’t really have a conversation cause it is small closed place. Would be great for one big group. Two people were working one was nice enough but not much of personality which it doesn’t matter as long as I can get what I ordered, the other one had some attitude. Think she’s working for the another lady who I mentioned earlier. First when we asked to sit on a bar due to noise in the back she gave us this weird look, then we are having a conversation and she thought we are talking bad about her? I guess? She rudely turned around and rebuttal absolutely nothing… but that’s just not happy ppl attitude so I can let that go. The main reason why I’m writing this review. please this place was GROSS! I’m glad I didn’t ordered any food. They need major hygiene check up on their kitchen. The small fryer that looks like it’s been used over 100 yrs with disgusting residue of previous millions of fries still caked in. YUCK! Most of their food is heated up in an air fryer. Trying to keep their food moist, they spray water before it goes into the fryer. Now their hummus container with old dried hummus remains on container all around. Seriously GROSS. I don’t wish anyone bad things but this place needs health inspection!!! Don’t go if you don’t want to be sick."
"Sweet corn latte was SO good! And yuzu tea as well, plus a great service and comfy area to work. Suggestion would be to have more clearly marked vegan options to eat ;)"
"Cute cafe from the outside with simple food, everything is prepared in an open air cafe style kitchen. However, I didn’t think the food was worth the price tag, even in Manhattan. Shrimp sandwich was pretty average, the shrimp was pretty overcooked and it lacked complexity. The round purple was ok? Seemed like normal roll cake drenched with ube cream. Avocado toast was hard and very difficult to eat. Definitely aesthetic but would not come again."
