Chipotle Mexican Grill 79 Rockland Plaza, Nanuet, NY 10954

"We love Chipotle restaurants but this one in Nanuet was FILTHY. ✓There was garbage all over the floors, the previously used tables were dirty, the bathrooms were a mess and the counters and floors where the employees were making the food were littered with excess food and garbage. I noticed a customer dropped several straws on the floor and two employees went to that area to get a drink and neither of them bothered to pick up the straws or any of the other garbage items on the floor in that area. Sadly, it's like they're used to working in that level of mess. ✓The windows of the doors to enter and exit were filthy with handprints and other marks smeared all over the glass, doesn't look like they had been cleaned in quite a while. ✓The bathrooms didn't smell clean and they're was garbage and toilet paper all over the floors, as well as fluids in the floor all around the toilets, neither bathroom appeared to have been cleaned recently. ✓The tables and bar tops had remnants of previous customers' food and garbage all over them and one bar top had a drink and notebook and other papers all over the surface, preventing customers from sitting down to eat, no customer had sat there during our visit, so maybe this belonged to the manager? ✓The food prep area was littered with excess chopped food all over the counters and on the floor while employees worked to prep the food and serve customers. What a fall/tripping hazard these loose/disposed of food items are! I don't say this to bash the employees, but rather to bring this to the attention of the manager and franchise owner so that the employees can be trained properly on (and use) proper cleaning protocols. The problem with what we saw is it raises the concern about the overall safety of food handling and storage of the entire facility, not just the parts that can be seen by the public. No one likes to dine in dirty establishments so I hope things change at this location sooner than later."

"Seriously disappointed in my local chipotle!! The quality of the food has seriously decreased since they originally opened. First off, the food is always icy cold!! It’s very rare to get a warm/hot bowl. The chicken & steak is also sometimes so tough and old that I can’t even chew through it!!! I have to spit it out. I’ve been given bowls where the rice is in chunks like rice balls. And let me tell you!!! Forget about ordering online for delivery!!! THEY GIVE YOU SCRAPS. They won’t fill the bowl up when you get it delivered. IVE GIVEN THIS CHIPOTLE MANYYYY CHANCES, BUT IM FINALLY DONE. YOU WONT GET MY MONEY EVER AGAIN. THIS IS SERIOUSLY DISGUSTING. THIS CHIPOTLE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!! IM VERY UPSET WITH THIS “ESTABLISHMENT”"

"This location is totally disgusting. Someone is going to get sick eating at the Nanuet location. Trash piled up and spilling onto the floor. Food splatter all over in the kitchen area. It’s obvious they don’t clean very well or at all. The state needs to shut that location down. It is so unsanitary and gross. I have been to many locations all over the country and this has to be one of the worst I walked in. We didn’t even order and left in total disgust. I recommend to find a better place to eat. I will never stop there again. Wish I had taken pictures but too late for that."

"There is a real reason why this specific chipotle is rated so bad. It is really bad Reasons Poor quality like really poor Mixed beef to my chicken tacos (see photo) Small quantities , I had to eat again at chili’s after having lunch here. Slow as a snail Customer care is a joke Never eating at this sad place again."

"If I can give this place a zero I would. First things first, I worked in the food industry for 5 plus years, Chipotle being one of them & also was a kitchen manager at some point, so miss me with all the nonsense before you even start. All the employees have attitude’s , they don’t even know their own menu, and the quality of food is pure garbage. Again, because I worked for chipotle, I know what the standards are, and although it was annoying always having to be on top of quality, I never once said screw it , let me just collect my hourly and serve mediocre food. No tomatoes in one bowl like I asked, chicken portion (amount) was pure comedy. I’ll let the picture speak for it self. Look at how the steaks cut, got clumps of chicken not properly cut, steak was seasoned horribly. ( I can tell someone in there loves to free hand ). I never normally leave reviews even though I’ve had plenty of bad experiences, but this chipotle is just out of hand. It just reflects on the stores leadership. Management needs to have a realignment meeting to reset expectations or I definitely see this place shutting down soon."
