"It was my first time here, and the way the shop is set up there seems to be an emphasis on buying the fresh coffee beans/grounds which is totally fine! On the wall to the left is a sign with tips on their fresh coffee, and the menu is in a less obvious spot to the right and blocked off by the barista equipment. Again it was my first time so I didn’t see the menu right away. I asked the cashier if they had any flavors to add to the drinks and he got very annoyed with me for not knowing the flavors they offer. I ended up with a delicious chocolate pistachio iced coffee, but wasn’t thrilled with the attitude. I’m honestly not one to complain or give less than 5 stars but I was kind of put off."

"If you like strong coffee, this is the place to check out. It’s a cute little shop with a nice vibe. The barista was amazing and really friendly."

"Seasonal cold brew for me, a latte for my colleague. Blueberries and currants... But this isn't flavored coffee. I understand. This place is for coffee purists and I'm OK with that. Akin to a farm to table experience or scoring a hit from your corner dealer, if you do not come here with the mindset to sample only coffee then please abstain. I GET IT; the store is cramped, the employees aren't greeting you like an auntie you haven't seen since pre-puberty, and the non-dairy options weren't strained through silk sourced from organic fair-trade crop shares. But it is what IT IS. Call it hipster arrogance, whatever. Starbucks had a dream then died to the thunderous applause of capitalism, mass appeal, and artificially flavored syrups. Modcup and specialty coffee shops elsewhere will continue to thrive, albeit to the small audience that can still taste the beans for what they are. And that too I'm OK with. TL;DR: Look at the floor, step up to the counter, order your coffee, pay, and leave. NEXT!"

"Got an iced matcha with a shot of lavender and no extra sugar. Tasted nice, matcha was blended nicely and was good butter sweet."

"An ultimate hipster coffee spot. Tiny, cute, edgy, bustling with hipster crowd and positive energy. Barristas are amazing: witty, chatty, helpful and overall cool. Coffee is fantastic; my personal favorite is nitro cold brew on a hot summer day! Vegan breakfast (I've tried delish overnight oats) and dessert options are available. In the mornings, Modcup coffee truck is parked at 475 Marin Blvd, I believe Monday thru Friday. Modcup Coffee Company, please keep it up!"
