Reviews of La Primicia Restaurant
"I ordered delivery via Uber eats. TLDR If you are planning to eat here, you probably shouldn't if you have sensible taste buds. My ancestors are Latinos and have woken up to a full platter of mangu with tres golpes for years of my life. This place needs help from Dominican grandmothers in the immediate area. I ordered pepper steak with onions, yellow rice, tostones , a pastelito, and a sancocho. Pepper steak: didn't have much flavor besides salt and pepper, would have liked the steak sliced up to smaller pieces instead of massive chunks. Yellow rice: under cooked. Basically fresh rice from a bag with yellow food coloring and veggies. Not edible Tostones: best part of our order. Still not amazing but it's a basic dish and I didn't expect much. It did it's part. Pastelito(empanada): it was ok. I think it was a bit burned but the chicken was cooked. It Lacked flavor and the chicken was dry. Sancocho: extremely peppery and a different hue than I am used to but everyone does sancocho differently. Overall not happy with me and my wife's meal. Should have chosen a different restaurant."
"Customer service is good but the baked and fried chicken was really really DRY. Empanadas are good I always get two or three. Dead on the corner of the street so you definitely gotta find parking. Some employees speak English and some don’t they just look at you"
"I have been coming to the restaurant for years and the food was decent but they may have changed the cook because now the food is horrible. I recently bought white rice, beans and stew chicken. Not only did I pay $10 for a small dish, but the rice and beans were hard and the chicken was dry. Waste of my money."
"No parking and restaurant sits on a corner. This is Jersey City, but you can find a spot to get your food to go. The food is fresh and good. The people are nice and attentive. I often make a trip while I'm at work."
"They are very cheap with meat, oxtail platter was charged 21 dollars n the plate was mainly filled with rice, will never return. I can get better tasting food, oxtail anywhere for atleast 14 bucks"
