Reviews
"I was a walk-in and based on previous reviews, I was a little nervous about whether I’d be able to drop in or not. Julia could NOT have been nicer, she was so helpful and pulled everything I asked to try. She gave me a lot of good advice on sizing as well. I’m glad I shopped in person, the clothes looked quite a bit better on me than I expected, and the fabrics were what sealed the deal. Everything was so comfortable; the fabric was incredibly soft and draped beautifully. My first experience….but I will be back!"
"I was in the area and thought to stop by to check out some pieces I've seen online. Woman at the reception judgmentally told me I needed an appointment. Not the level of professionalism I expected. Edit in response to business: It doesn't matter what your policy is. Your staff needs to be better trained to be polite. Sarcastically telling a customer, "You need an appointment" when they just entered the store is unprofessional."
"Ordered $1200+ worth of new work clothes and they 1) shipped later than promised, and 2) never arrived. Customer service was absolutely no help and told me to call back in 7 days and they’d look into it. Update in response to the business’ comment: The address was entered correctly, and done by your show room associate (not me). To your credit, I did get a call back from customer service a day after our original conversation. However, this was still a 1 star experience."
"I spent the best hour with store manager Hannah for a shopping appointment this weekend. From start to finish, the experience was great - they were unwaveringly kind and patient with my nervous energy, gently offered welcome tips for arranging the perfect zoom-interview outfit, and joined me in the relentless pursuit of the perfect pant, which as it turns out, is the Colby in charcoal. I found everything I was looking for and more - a suit, a fun knitted tank, the world’s softest turtleneck, and a wardrobe that fits my style and my professional needs perfectly. I’m never going to think twice about what to wear, and I’m never going to worry if it’s flattering/appropriate/machine-washable/wrinkle-resistant/trendy - Hannah assured me it all was!! I honestly cannot recommend a better brand that’s women-led, environmentally conscious, and striking perfect balance of style and practicality. Go out and support them (and find the best work clothes at the same time) ladies!!"
"My friend and I, who are young professionals, made appointments month in advanced hoping to find some business/business casual wear that would be fitting for us. We were especially interested in the self-hemming pants and blazers where you could remove the padding. Once we arrived to our appointment a little before 11 am, we were rudely greeted. The lady opened the door and with an off-putting tone informed us that they were not open for the public until 11 am unless appointments were made. I told her we had an appointment at 11 am. She then let us in and after a few minutes of silence she asked if we would like any refreshments. Her tone completely changed once she confirmed our appointment. We were then greeted by our stylist. The stylist I was paired with was unconcerned with me as a client/customer. She provided me with a few pieces and did not provide any comments, feedback or suggestion. I had to ask her and try to prompt her to help me. I felt very off-put and uncomfortable with the whole experience. Overall, I'm disappointed with the services that was provided at M.M. LaFleur since it was the exact opposite of what they advertised. I felt the service was judgmental and sub-par from the average retail store."
