"The ripper hot dog was excellent. Their home made relish and mustard was high quality. Loved that it was inexpensive. The cold bun was the only let down. We wished it was toasted or warmed up. It just let down the taste of the dog."

"Jersey institution and best deal around. Stopped in on a recent weeknight en route home from the city. I visited a while back but it had been at least 5 years. Exactly the same! One side is takeout - a 50s-style burger counter. The other side is an old-man bar where you can order all the food and sit down for a drink. The "ripper" deep fried hot dogs are absolutely incredible. A distinct crunch on the outside ripped open by hot oil to reveal the juicy center. I do think they could do a bit better on the bun but they are clearly working to keep prices low! For $13 I got 2 dogs and 3 draft beers. Where else can you get that!? Large parking lot - I have seen big rigs and there was a class A RV parked in the lot the last time I went. I was reminded why I absolutely love this place. Friendly folks, quick (nearly immediate) service of legendary food, cheap prices, easy access to Route 3. Perfect - never change!"

"Probably one of the best hot dogs I've had in the country. This place has one numerous awards for best dogs (called rippers) and the secret is the mustard and relish!! This is cash only and has 2 distinct atmospheres....the to go counter and the restaurant...both of which feel are frozen in time from the 1950s. If you like hotdogs and you are in NJ....this is a definite place to hit up."

"Excellent dogs eh RIPPERS. chilli was great and the clam strips meal was killer. Don’t sleep on the relish. It’s a wild color but one of the best I’ve ever had. Need to make another trip the menu has some serious depth."
