The owner loves his trade and treats every guest like they are family. The wait staff is top notch and pay attention to every detail of your order. You will feel like you have stepped into a classic Italian movie when you dine here and all of your food is cooked to perfection. Where ever you live, Matthew's is worth the trip. "This place is a warm, welcome, long-standing date night favorite. We're always greeted with appreciation and personal attention, which goes for every person in the room. The room is the perfect size and decor for an intimate setting or a great dinner our with friends. Service attention is always with a friendly smile, professional, and easy. You never feel rushed or neglected! Of course the food!! Wonderful dishes are beautifully prepared and a nice portion that is neither too small nor too large but definitely enough to bring a little home. "Lovely quaint Italian restaurant with delicious fresh food. If you are looking for a homey, cozy feeling then this is your spot. Everything we ordered was delicious! You won’t regret the chicken parm and scallops with lemon wine sauce…out of this world! The staff is friendly and seem very close almost like a family, Matthew even stopped by our table to say hello. A very pleasant experience overall."

"Matthew is definitely very cool and the restaurant, while small, has a really great vibe. we started off with their soup of the day which was absolutely fabulous and they were kind enough to serve in two bowls. The seafood salad appetizer is delicious, The clams oreganata are super oily. So the sauce on that is not delicious. since we were having three courses, we did ask our waitress to give us a break in between, yet as soon as the appetizer plates were cleared our food arrived. I was actually in the ladies room so I was a little bit disappointed to come out to my food already served. That's not the bad part though, it's that the food was completely cold. side potatoes were warm but not the proper temperature. three star rating because of the food flavor and the temperature plus the waitress had a little bit of a meltdown when a second specialty cocktail of the day was served inconsistent to the first one. flavor wise and garnish. I guess it would be okay just not to say anything to the waitress but that's really why the waitress is there. her perception of what we said to her was very skewed... that type of interaction can really affect the experience."
