Reviews of Faith Recovery
"This recovery program is the best one I ever been to. They saved my life. They also helped me get back on my feet and get into a sobriety House. Conor, Jeremiah, Kipper were a big help."
"Faith Recovery essentially saved my life. As a life-long alcoholic I had exhausted every resource and burnt every bridge through my addiction. I tried every program imaginable. It was like the staff members at faith recovery already knew me before I walked through the door. They truly understand addiction and recovery."
"My life-changing experience took place sixteen years ago, when faced with prison time out of York County, I reached out to then, the Youth Challenge Program. Shortly afterwards, I received a response with a scheduled interview, which was conducted by Brother Greg. I was eventually granted the program by Judge Smiley, but with a shocking twist; I was to serve the prison time first, then be released to Youth Challenge, with the condition of a mandatory completion. Upon my arrival at the center, I was welcomed with an abundance of Godly love, respect, and the opportunity of a new beginning on life. I'd already met Brother Greg during the interview, then Brother Travis, aka. "Boss man", and finally "Pop", a God sent man, who experienced his share of trials and tribulations, but then led by the spirit of God, to establish this awesome, faith-based program, that would go on to save so many lives. I went on to complete the first phase, and graduated to phase two, which was eight months on "God's Mountain." WOW! What an experience! "Boss man," you've had some big shoes to fill, and I must say, that God has blessed you with the wisdom, the knowledge and the strength to receive and understand your purpose in changing the many lives of the men and women that have come through this program, and the ones to come. I want to personally express my thanks and gratitude for all that I received and the opportunities that I was given to live a better life. Thank you. God Bless."
"My niece was a drug addict for several years. Her mother sent her to three or four rehab centers, but as soon as she got out, she went right back to doing drugs again. She was wanted by most cities in the area for drug related crimes. She finally was sent to jail for a long period of time, but after about 6months, she decided going to Youth Challenge could not be any worse than jail. She was accepted into the program and much to everyone’s surprise, she really tried to learn the program and wanted to know about God and Jesus. She completed the program and decided to help others get off of drugs. She has been clean for 6 years and has gotten married and has 2 children. I have never seen a better mom including myself. She teaches them about God and Jesus and she sets a good example for them. She is still working for the program and trying to make it even better. I have used Youth Challenge a few times to come to my house and pick up large items so I could donate to this worthy organization. Every time the men came, they were very nice and respectful. I will use them again when I want to donate items. I have friends that have family members that are addicted to drugs and I always recommend Youth Challenge, now called Faith Recovery. Something has to be done about the drug problem in our country and Faith Recovery is the only program that I know of that truly works. How can anyone go wrong when they place their love and trust in God?"
"I believe in this program. It saved my son’s life, for which I’m very grateful. It’s a Christian organization and it restores young peoples lives and teaches them to be productive members of society. I’ve had them pick up furniture from my home on two different occasions and they have always been respectful and willing to even go up into the attic to get furniture I no longer needed. From what I know, the recovery program is run by responsible people and they do a good job. The people in recovery must adhere to strict rules to stay in the program. They are not allowed to come and go as they please ."
