"These apartments are very overpriced for what you’re getting. Everything is extremely outdated and unless you follow up a couple times with emails, you won’t always get a response. The outdoor hallways going to the apartment front doors are always disgustingly filthy and filled with spiderwebs… was told they’d be cleaned soon, but it it looks like it was barely swept. Not to mention the pool was closed basically all summer d/t staffing issues. Also, keep your car doors locked because there’s no security and multiple cars have been broken into. Location is about the only thing that is decent at this place."
"I wouldn’t recommend going through the application process here. The office seems very disorganized we were sent a copy of a verification document that had someones personal information including their social security number via email. The location is nice customer service is conditional based on the color of your skin. Theres better places for cheaper cost and better customer service."
"So I needed a place to move in to within about a week when I first walked into the leasing office for a tour. I was greeted by Christy who listened to my situation and immediately offered to help in any way she could. She gave the tour and you could tell she enjoyed her job and the area based on how knowledgable she was about everything. Every question I had, immediately answered. She was extremely communicative throughout the whole leasing process, and I was able to move in about one week after I had been on tour. The area is awesome. Anything you could ever need is within a 1-2 mile radius of the complex. the complex itself is clean, the people are friendly, and everything in the apartment works wonderfully."
"DO NOT MOVE HERE if you want to avoid being charged extra money unfairly after you move out. I've decided to share the unpleasant experience my husband and I recently had with Columbus Station so that it won't happen to another individual. They were charging us $1,029.41 for the carpet replacement when they first emailed us the final account statement which was more than a month after we moved out. No explanation/evidence was given as to why we were charged for that until my husband called the leasing office the next day. We only lived there for about 10 months and according to them, carpet should have a life of 5-7 years, so to have such heavy, matted wear is unusual since the carpet was brand new and installed a few days prior to our move in. Surprisingly, it took more than 2 weeks for them to just send us the pictures of the "heavy wear" to the carpet after we asked them repeatedly because “the property manager has been tied up with issues on the property that require her direct oversight”. We asked them why we didn’t get notified until more than a month after our move out if the “damage” was unusual and significant and they wanted us to pay for it. Their response was because of the 45 days period under VRLTA. We were not expecting to receive our security deposit back in full as we were aware of the broken blinds (we have a toddler) that they listed in the final statement. Who would expect to be charged for carpet installation when you make sure the carpet is in a good condition at the end of your tenancy? We told them that we would expect them to give us at least a heads up right after the move-out inspection regardless of the 45 days, if they were going to charge us for something that costs a lot more than the security deposit. Even if they didn’t know how much the actual cost would be right away, they could have informed us that the carpet needed a replacement (Most of all, if the damage was that noticeable as they claimed, we would have reported it to them immediately in the first place). Crazy part is that we did not see anything that shows heavy wear in any of the pictures provided by them as evidence. We even showed them to multiple people to see if they see any damage and none of them did. So we still don’t know what damage exactly they are referring to even this day. We appreciated how the management took care of us in a timely manner whenever we had an issue while we lived there. However, the way they treated us this time made us realize that we’re absolutely nothing to them once we moved out. We’ve also learned that some former residents like us had similar issues with them after they moved out from Google Reviews. What a coincidence. We can’t speak on for others but from our personal experience, we would definitely NOT recommend this apartment complex to anyone."
"I love living at Columbus Station. The apartments are so nice and the area is safe. The office staff is always so helpful and kind. If your looking for a beautiful place to live near toen center, then this is the place. They even allowed me to paint 2 accent walls in my apartment. The right touch to make me feel at home."
