Reviews of The Ashton Apartment Homes
"I put in my application for them MAY 2 Rakia was the one who took my application everytime I came up there to check the status of my application multiple times they said it wasn't there ,then I wasn't in the system, then they said my app was at another building bc they were backed up on paperwork the time they accepted me they told me they won't have nothing available till next year I almost lost my voucher so unprofessional!! They moved everyone in after within the two months I had already Put in my app smh"
"I applied for an apartment early May, almost two months, still no response. I Called them, like the leasing agent suggests on these reviews, she said next week they are making a decision. This is the third week after my call, and still nothing . Update Personally visited the leasing office, application MIA. I was offered to fill out another application and be put on a waiting list. I declined, I got my application fee back."
"I started my application for this Apartment back in February me and my Fiancé applied and got approved. We as told that our move in date was In April the week of move in I HAD TO PHYSICAL CALL THEM MULTIPLE TIMES and that’s when I was told our move in date would be pushed back but they didn’t know when. Mind you I am a college student staying on campus our campus closed for the summer and because I was supposed to move into The Ashton me and my fiancé ended up having to pay for a hotel for 2 weeks. After two weeks I called to check on the move in date and I get told that My fiancé had to verify his employment, why not communicate to me about this before hand instead of 2 weeks AFTER THE MOVE IN TIME. After verifying his employment we were told that we were over the income Restriction after the fact we had already put down a deposit. I have asked for my refund back on May 18th I was told that “Corporate “ would be sending me the refund back it is now June 7th and I still have yet to receive my refund. I have emailed and called The Ashton several times and still no answer. I also had a friend that applied here and the same thing happened with her I do not recommend this apartments"
"I visited this location about three weeks and met the whole office team. Lakia was the young lady that showed me around the week I visited and later the following week in accepting my application. Both times she showed incredible professionalism and added additional information on what the phases were to becoming a tenant at this location. I’m hoping that because I’m a Veteran it will allow the opportunity to reside in a place that has security, a nice place to live and finally a place where professionalism is shown on a continuous basis in which there’s a priority on good customer & tenant relationships."
"I genuinely don't know where to begin. In the beginning of the application process up until I was approved everything was going well. Once I put down my deposit everything started going south. In February, I was told that I could move into my apartment in May, which is when my lease ends. After a month of not hearing anything from the property manager I decided to call her. No answer. I called for a week straight until I was finally able to reach her on April 1st. I called to confirm that the move in date was still set for May and she then told me it was pushed back to June 15th. I expressed to her that I already put in my notice to vacate at my current apartment complex and they have already rented my apartment to someone else so extending my lease until June isn't an option. She said that there was nothing she could do. I then contacted the regional property manager on April 12th to gain some clarity as to why this was not communicated to me once they were aware that the move in date was change. She expressed to me her "apologies" and stated that moving forward the property manager(Ebony) would call me with any changes and etc. Again, another month as gone by without any updates. On May 9th, I called the property manager once more to confirm the move in date for June 15th. Once again, she stated that the move in date was push back another four(4) to five(5) weeks, which is basically the end of July. I am highly upset because not only was this not communicated to me AGAIN, now I have to move out of my apartment at the end of the month, pay for a storage to store my things until God knows when the apartment is ready, spend an unnecessary amounts of money which they probably won't reimburse me for, and still complete my military training to prepare for deployment in the middle of this. It should not take for me to consistently call to get information, especially if the move in date has changed. What if I never called and just assumed I would be moving in at the original move in date? This is extremely ridiculous. If this is how communication at the Ashton's will be moving forward, I'm not sure how long I would be living there. Hopefully the issue will be resolved, the communication will improve, and I can be settled into my apartment before I deploy in September."
