"My son recently moved into these apartments and I truly wish we'd done more research because the first apartment they put him in was rampant with cockroaches. They spray but it was still truly bad. The second apartment is better but the buildings reak of mildew, especially in the hall. We have been trying to reach someone in the office, and this is not the first time, NO ONE EVER ANSWERS. Nor is anyone ever in the office. Tanya is very nice and sweet but sometimes that doesn't help, especially when you can NEVER speak to anyone. Do better and answer the phones or return phone calls. I know your team reads these reviews so PLEASE for the live of GOD, please call me at the number you have listed asap! Additionally, I would like the contact information for the owner."

"This complex is not good. Maintenance is careless (leaving doors unlocked / keys to doors right outside after completing maintenance calls), I could never get a hold of the leasing office and get anyone to call me back for anything. Not to mention theres creepy people wandering the neighborhood at all hours of the night, looking in windows and doing drugs in the back of the neighborhood. I recently moved out after living there for 3 years and I'm so happy to finally be away from this place. It's been almost 2 months since I've moved out and I still can't get anyone to call me back regarding my security deposit. Everytime you try to call the leasing office you get put into a call center that has no idea what's going on with this specific complex. Definitely needs some new management and a working phone."

"AMAZING!!! THE BEST PEOPLE I EVER MET!!!! SERIOUSLY!! I’m a current resident and all I can say are good things! They really do care and I definitely appreciate how well, no how GREAT they are doing to help better improve living situations and them taking out time to better understand and help their residents!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this apartment Complex the landlord and staff are just very outgoing and nice to converse with plus very welcoming. Not to mention the nice apartment I have! Like if I was a rich person I would invest in them as people because I only see great things coming their way and I’ll just leave it at that!"

"I am currently looking for a 1 bedroom, The Property Manager and Leasing Consultant is truly the life of the property. I walk into the leasing office I was greeted by Ms.Tanya who was very friendly she explain everything by the property. Joseph the property manager is the sweetest person you will ever meet. He loves his community and the way he talk about Sterling Oaks was amazing. The upgrades are amazing! The community has change a lot. I can't wait to move-in!"

"I've lived here for a little over a year now and overall, I'm happy with it. The ladies in the office have been nothing but nice and helpful to me, especially Sophia. I started out in a second-floor apartment but due to health issues I requested changing to a first-floor unit. They were happy to help me out. The pool is nice and a great perk. I have had a few issues with my AC going on the fritz, but maintenance has always came out and fixed it almost always on the same day. As for crime, there have been a few occurrences, but overall its on the nice side of Wards Corner. My only complaint is that the apartments are a bit small and the stoves are old. I also wish there were more overhead lighting in the apartments. Besides that though, I'm absolutely happy here. I'm close to several grocery stores, right around the corner from campus, and near two hospitals (DePaul sucks, but Norfolk General is great). I would recommend these apartments to others."
