"I saw Dr posadas after a few years of being unmedicated. I was really unstable after having a child and needed to seek professional help to begin medication again. As I walked through the door of his office, he says to me "well I can start by telling you that you'll be less depressed if you lose weight"... This was not only insanely inappropriate but he said this as I said hello. He hadn't met me yet. These were his first words to me. No background on me or anything. When I expressed to him that I was only a few months post partum and that I was breastfeeding, he went on a rant about how breastfeeding isn't necessary and I should just stop. He then proceeded to tell me, after I gave him facts, he would not prescribe me any medication until I quit breastfeeding even if I could research safe choices."

"Felt like I just got treated like a drug addict. I called for help to transfer my services and have been trying to find help with ADHD. As soon as I even mentioned ADHD after speaking about my counseling and other medications I was asked if I was just trying to find aderal or ritalin and told ‘we don’t do that here’ and then asked about my insurance ‘yeah we don’t take that’ and then silence. You’re in the business of helping people with mental disorders ptsd and all sorts of mental issues try to be a little kinder regardless of being able to help me or not.. we’re not all junkies."
