"I don’t know who’s in charge of the receptionists but they are clearly not doing their jobs! The fact that I have to wait for 45 mins to make an appointment to get my First Trimester Screening and my Genetic Carrier Screening tests is INSANE and completely unacceptable! That alone is terrible service and not a good look for the company itself. I’m highly pissed off that I couldn’t get in touch with anyone. I’m honestly considering switching doctors and going somewhere else because waiting for 45 minutes or even 20 minutes to make an appointment is just crazy and very inconsiderate."
"Like the previous review stated I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this office. I was seen for an initial consult due to having two prior miscarriages. The appointment went well and the doctor was very informative and I was recommended to have an ultrasound test as well as bloodwork testing done . Unfortunately I have been trying to get in touch with them for the last 2 months to get this scheduled and I can not get a hold of anyone. I can’t always answer my phone during work and when I get the chance to call back no one picks up. I’m very confused by this. Unless you have endless hours to wait on hold I would go else where."
"I have been seen here for nuchal translucency scan, anatomy scan, and growth scan. While pleasant enough, the doctors won’t even see you to talk about the ultrasound unless something is wrong. However, my biggest issue is that I have had to be referred back to them as my pregnancy became high risk. They are impossible to get ahold of. So far I have spent 50 minutes on various holds today just trying to get through to the office to even speak to someone about scheduling/the high risk referral. I had this issue when trying to schedule my last scan with them as well. I am now thinking I will have to just walk into the office and speak to someone face to face since all they do is ignore phone calls. Not what you want when your pregnancy is considered high risk. Very disappointing. I would recommend seeking out another practice if you have the option of doing so, unless you want to waste significant time just trying to get ahold of them."
"I had the good fortune of seeing Dr. Heim for preconception counseling and throughout my first pregnancy and am so grateful for her care. She is a brilliant and outstanding physician--always answering my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly and on the rare occasion when she was unsure of an answer, she took the time to research information related to my specific condition and get back to me. Dr. Heim truly cares for her patients and has the bedside manner that every physician should. I wish every woman was fortunate enough to have someone like Dr. Heim guide them through their pregnancy. I could not recommend her more highly."
"If I needed MFM care again, I would go elsewhere. I had two appointments with this practice, the first the provider Dr. Kelly O, was very nice and explained things thoroughly. However, even with the earliest appointment they were still running late, and most importantly chare INPATIENT hospital rates for all testing (ie ultrasound) done in their "outpatient" office. Meaning that they charge a higher rate, and depending on how your insurance works it will cost more and they will cover less. Additionally their agreement with our insurance actually allowed them to charge over $100 more than they do at base for the ultrasound, and this cost was passed on to me, the patient. At my 2nd appointment, I was told it was just an ultrasound, without being made aware of, or giving consent to additional testing, they added an additional part of the scan that was (surprise!) not covered by insurance and hundreds of dollars. Adding insult to the high cost of care, the provider for this appointment (Dr. Heim) could not be bothered to come down the hall to speak to me and just had the tech deliver the outcome of the ultrasound. The practice should be upfront, clear, and transparent about this with patients- so they are not spending months paying bills for an ultrasound that is usually covered when not billed the way they do. Additionally if they are going to charge as inpatient and have agreements in place to increase cost to patients- the least their providers could do is actually come interact with their patients."
