Claiborne Medical Center Emergency Room

"Unprofessional, awful experience. I had to take my 5 year old to the ER to get stitches, I was informed at the front desk that the doctor had specialized in pediatrics. He was aggressive and extremely rude, I was shocked at the manner he handled everything, had no compassion whatsoever, I deeply regret taking him there. There was one nurse who was amazing, thankfully. Would not recommend taking my child there."

"My daughter went there for a severe toothache in the middle of the night. She is a local college student and far away from home. She was in so much pain and doctor did not even exam her mouth, rather he looked at a picture she had taken and then left. Sent the nurse in to give her a shot for pain and provided no antibiotics for the infection. Anyone in the medical field knows if there’s an infection the pain will continue to break through until treated. We understand they aren’t dentist but from a medical standpoint a simple script for antibiotic could’ve made all the difference for her until the dentist office can see her. She called me to help and the nurse refused to speak to me and threatened to call security on her repeating over and over ..here’s your discharge papers, you’ve been discharged. They do not care.. do not send your loved ones there. Hated hearing my daughter in pain and not being able to help her. I can totally understand where the 1 star rating comes from.. y’all should be ashamed of yourselves. I work in the trauma ER in my hometown, we deal with so many varieties of real life traumas and interact with so many families, we would never treat our patients or families that way regardless what they were there for. An infection in the tooth can spread to the gums and sinuses and is nearly impossible to sleep through. I’ll definitely be making some calls and writing a formal complaint to report the incident."

"Honestly I’m appalled by how small the parking lot for the emergency room is, I had to throw my mother out of the car and have her rush into the emergency room durning a possible cardiac emergency. I had to park around the front of the hospital and walk in. We have her checked in having bad chest pain, with medical HX of strokes. We have been waiting for quite awhile now. We haven’t even been triaged and it’s been way over 19 plus minutes. This is absolutely absurd. I guess heart complications are not a concern? Dr and nurse was wonderful today. We really need to work on management though."

"My mamaw made to wait 5 hours and still currently waiting to be seen and has even passed out in the lobby 4 hours ago. Not ONE Nurse has checked on her or even acted like they care. She is over 80 years old having serious enough issue to cause her to pass out and she is freezing and clammy, very pale yet they don't believe it is serious enough. She has said herself that she is not okay. She has multiple health issues this is sad and ridiculous to not at least check on her after her passing out!"
