"My husband and I were looking for a new PCP, and found Dr. Adam's online. I was very happy to have a faith based doctor, who takes the time to listen. We couldn't be happier with our care."
"I have to start out by saying that the other comments on here are a little bit overboard. I feel if these patients felt so uncomfortable while in the waiting room or while in the medical rooms they should have left right there. I feel Like if they were uncomfortable at any time of The Visit they were free to walk out of this doctor's office and no one held them hostage. I have to leave a 5 star review because not only is doctor Adam's quite helpful, actually he spends Wayyy more time than any doctor has with any patient with each of his patients. I have to say that he and every single member of his office staff are beyond helpful. They all are in a great mood. They all are very helpful. And they make you feel very at home. I was very surprised to see the doctor spend so much time with each and every client. I could not hear what he was saying to each client but I know when he entered the room, it took him a bit to come out because he does address each and every need. He provides the pharmacy with a prescription very quickly as a Text notification comes through very quickly via portal. If there is any problems or issues, they schedule an appointment immediately. Usually the next day. I have 0 complaints with this office and I feel that the other people on here are drama and love to be negative about life in general. If they didn't like being there they should have left . Do not take these other people's comments to heart because obviously they do not enjoy their lives. I just don't have words to express the gratitude that I have for this doctor's office."
"I had a very unsettling appointment with this doctor. My concerns are pretty much like the 2 most recent reviews. I am a RN with 44 years of experience and my visit to this physician office was beyond bizarre. I waited in the tiny, musty smelling exam room for 40 minutes. As I sat there, I could hear the doctor advising a new mom that her baby's jaundice could be reduced, simply by placing the baby next to a lamp. I was horrified. What that baby needed was a bilirubin test and UV lights, not a table lamp. Once that discussion ended, the doctor could be heard, on the phone, talking loudly about a used car, I assume with a family member. Once that call ended, the door opened and I was about to say, "you are in the wrong room." Oops, that was the doctor. His outfit was totally inappropriate, some sort of compression outfit, I assume. He sat down the entire time, eyes closed and unfortunately his shirt was not covering his belly. He asked me to stand so he could "carefully" listen to my lungs. Actually, he placed the stethoscope on my love handles, not the area of my lungs. I was so disturbed by this appointment. I decided to research the doctor's medical liscence. I will not comment here about the attached document that I found on the VA Board of Medicine. You can check it out. Frankly, it did not surprise me. My out of pocket expense was ridiculous. I am still shaking my head that this office can even exist. They are so very disorganized. In fact, I got a text last week from their office, for someone named "Alice". The text was a reminder about an appointment for November 20. I called the office to say that the message was sent to me in error, I am not Alice. And, 3 days later, a voicemail was left on my phone for Alice. I thought it odd, when I made my one and only appointment, the office manager told me that the doctor is a bit, "eccentric and has some medical issues." Her comments were an understatement."
"I have no words, it was that terrible. 0 stars.Unprofessional, unorganized and just an overall uncomfortable visit to be very honest. I agree with everything Amber below said! Not to mention all I went in for a was new patient yearly check-up. I was one of the first scheduled patients when they opened that morning, along with another man who was a “walk-in”. No one had a clue what they were doing, and I sat for almost an hour just to wait for the doctor to finally arrive to the office, and when he came into the room I couldn’t understand a word he was saying because he was so out of breath..and I had no idea he was even the doctor. He was not dressed professionally. I finally had my blood drawn (which took no time) and then was told they would call with the blood work results. 3 weeks later I had yet to hear from the office so I called today. Receptionist seemed to be completely clueless and stated the results were in fact in and “everything looked good”. I asked why I hadn’t gotten a call and in response received a very unprofessional, runaround answer. I was told a copy of the results would be sent to my address, but I will be extremely shocked if they can even do that much. I am not on here to be hateful, but I am just stunned this office is even able to keep their doors open. If you’re looking for a new medical practice, I highly suggest looking elsewhere, especially if you believe you may have a serious medical issue."
"Went out on a limb to try to establish primary care at a new office since moving to Lynchburg. I waited over an hour in a room, with a very nasty smell. Not to be rude here but I do want to be honest the nurse who came in talked to me about how she smokes an interesting topic of conversation when I did not bring that up at all. I felt like we were pretending to play doctor, my three year old Could’ve done a better job of taking my vitals. She seemed very scatterbrained she checked my oxygen and then she did my blood pressure after doing my blood pressure she said oh I forgot to tell you what it is and then she said did I get your OT? And I thought that’s weird you just took it less than one minute ago, after I politely told them, I did not want to wait any longer that I would seek out care somewhere else. The doctor abruptly says I’m ready to see her now and apologizes to me and said he has had a migraine all day and I told him that’s fine honestly, this establishment it’s just not up to my standards. You’re more than a patient at a doctors office. You’re a customer. The doctors office is a business and you’re choosing who you want to give your money to and this is not an establishment I would choose to give my business to."
