"I don’t even know where to start as I have never had a worse experience when making an appointment, let alone with a medical professional who is supposed to be a support to patients. I attempted to make an appointment with Dr. Meltzer through email as this was the only way he allowed appointments to be made. After a few very cold and impersonal emails, we decided on a date and time. While I was apprehensive about going to the appointment due to the nature of his emails, I decided to give it a try. He followed up the email with another email requesting I fill out a credit card authorization form in order to make the intake appointment. I was happy to fill this out as I understand his time is valuable but did not feel comfortable sending my credit card information over email. I asked if I could sign and send the form with the last 4 digits of my credit card and then call him with the remainder. His response was that he did not feel I was the correct fit for his practice. What?? I’m not sure how my request led to his response, but alas it did. I never made it into his office but honestly am a bit scared what might have happened if I had. I’d run, not walk, away from here."
