"Absolutely unacceptable that you have to leave a VM to get an appointment! I have NEVER in my life heard of such a practice especially when it comes to sick children. When my infant granddaughter needs to be seen by her pediatrician and we have to wait 48 hours to even get a call back is ridiculous. Very disappointing to know that this is the way our healthcare is handled. Completely mind blown that a pediatrician would handle things this way."
"Loved Amy, But in my opinion Dr. Shahab didn't have his heart in it. My newborn and I were always rushed out of the room. Several times I've had to ask the staff to asked him back in because he left without even asking if I had any concerns or questions. They're also terrible at call backs. Not to mention any time I've ever had an appointment around noon (that they scheduled) I always had to wait outside the building 30-45 minutes with my son."
"I want to start off by saying everyone at the practice is extremely nice and I do believe they really care for all the children that come in. My reasoning behind the 2 stars is because being nice and caring is not all that a office needs when caring for children. My daughter was exposed to covid right before her 9 month check up was needed. I called over 6 times and each time I did leave a voicemail. I even left one on the line for appointments since I never recieved a phone call back from the nurse. It was only until I called Shahab directly (the last ext for his team) that I reached anyone and at that point I was just calling to get medical records. After a week I gave up and decided to find another pediatrician. (This was when I called for medical records, to this day i have not recieved a phone call regarding my daughters expose nor has her father so the voicemails were either ignored or never listened to) Someone was able to fit me in and ease my mind with my daughters expose. We were lucky in the case that she didn't have it however I do wonder what would have happened if she did have it as I still never heard anything back from shahabs office. It doesn't seem to be an office issue either as the other doctors team picks up the phone and/or calls you back almost immediately. So if you're going to go to this office I would suggest not seeing Shahab unless he gets a different nurse and receptionist. I understand that this is an extremely stressful time for the employees in the medical field, but that shouldn't cause parents to have to blow up phones of another doctor in the practice to get their child examined. Im truly sad that I couldn't stay with Shahab as he's a great doctor imo. I will gladly transfer back to him if he gets new employees. Until then I'll be taking my daughter where her health and saftey is a priority to all staff members. I had other issues with the practice before this but they seem minimal now. My best advice is to do your research when looking for a pediatrician."
"I went to get shots on my daughter the nurse didn’t even tell me what she was ejected in my child didn’t explain any side effects asked if I had any concerns or questions. Just ejected her with two needles . I have never seen anything like it in my life . I couldn’t stop thinking about this situation. I was so mad at myself for not stepping up and asking but the front office ladies and these nurses are rude . You can tell they just work there for a paycheck . Not for patient care ."
"Front Office Staff is very unprofessional. If you are looking to get an appointment the best attempt is to go to the office to schedule. Called back to back and was placed on hold each time immediately, when they do finally pick up the phone hangs right up, however doctor Shahab is awesome."
