Reviews of Dr. Cristi S. Wilson, MD
"Dr. Wilson is the best doctor we have ever saw! She has been with my children for almost 7 years and no one treats my children’s sicknesses as well as she does. She is hands down the best doctor for children. She always helps us when other doctors, make you go through hops to give your child a proper diagnosis. I don’t know what we would do without her. She knows her stuff and she cares about her patients. We love Dr. Wilson."
"Yesterday I went for my daughter's physical for her to start a sport. At first the staff seemed friendly having good interactions with my daughter (5years old). Everything was fine until we got to the vaccinations portion of the visit. My daughter is partial vaccinated currently we are exempt which the office should have been aware of because we used to deal with Dr. Loya prior to her retirement with no issues after expressing or change. Dr. McKnight gave me documentation to review and I politely took the papers while still firm on my decision. She continued to mention the importance and how she does for her children. Then after we went to vision and hearing and then dismissed. I was confused to why I did not receive a copy of the physical just performed, asking the nurse Jennifer for a copy. She was rude staying the documents you have is all you need (information on vaccinations). When I know from previous experience I always received a copy in the past. I inquired again then she said your child is not vaccinated so I can't get you those documents. Also rudely asking for a form I had in my hand that was supposed to be turned in. After I inquired more than a couple of times she stormed off with a attitude and had the office assistant bring me the completed physical form. I asked the ladies in the medical office they said we can't get you the copy but can fax it somewhere if you need. I then knew what was going on, the attitudes and demeanor had changed because I did not want to get my child vaccinations. I informed the ladies in the office that they shouldn't treat people like that based on their belief, no response or apology. ** next day** I spoke with the office manager on the phone while waiting upon my return for a correction on the physical/ copy of sports physical. Debbie who was unable to give me the nurse full name on the nickname of Jenn for as she mentioned legal reasons, but I will be filling a report with the Virginia Board of Medicine regarding this treatment. I came the next day to have the document given yesterday corrected (incorrect initial on my daughter's name) and to have the proper physical filled out for her sport. The lady at the medical office tried to justify the incorrect spelling because my initial was what was used. I am aware human error happen but do not blame me for that, especially when all of the papers I filled out was completed correctly with my daughters name and date of birth. After waiting about 20 minutes the documents were ready yet the date of birth was incorrect so we had to wait a few more minutes for the correction. We were handed the documents and politely went on our way, without an in person apology from the nurse, doctor or medical staff for our treatment. Please be aware of service given here! Thanks for reading my experience, - Briele"
"Dr. Cristi Wilson was my pediatric doctor when I was little so when I had a child I figured I would continue using her. Every time I came into the office for my daughter I felt like she was always trying to rush onto the next patient and didn't take the time to get to know my daughter or help resolve issues. She just gave us some generic response and left us still feeling worried. I finally decided to change doctors summer of 2018 and her new doctors showed me her medical records. Come to find out Dr. Wilson made up notes on all of her developmental milestones. My daughter is speech delayed and Dr. Wilson wrote that my daughter has been talking since 18 months. As a new parent you don't know when a child should hit certain goals and Dr. Wilson never asked any of those questions. I'm so glad we decided to leave and now my daughter is in preschool and has a speech pathologist to assit her. Her new doctor circled everything Dr. Wilson lied about on files because she was like that's not even possible. I have all the files to prove it so PLEASE do not let your child go here. I'm not one to write reviews but I am disgusted by the things I read on her files."
"My daughter was seeing Dr Zakia Loya at this facility and although the Doctor's behavior and manners are good, they had missed to vaccinate my child for chickenpox at her 4th year, after we moved to another city, the new pediatrician told us that this was missed and we been a year behind on that shot. The new office sent them numerous fax to get the dates of all the vaccines and they never sent them the report which is outrageous(even after we called and left them numerous voice message ourselves). The administrative office is very rude and unresponsive. Go to another facility."
"This facility is GREAT! My two sons have been receiving their medical services since 2009 and no complaints with the medical care provided. Especially partial to Dr. Cristi Wilson for her preventive measures and for her treatment of the whole person. She is most professional, patient, and very caring in the treatment of all. Even when my boys were small she talked to them and not at or about them. I have the utmost confidence in her medical expertise and few could surpass her concern and care for her patients. The times when I had to see another doctor because Dr. Wilson was off we saw Dr. Falix. He too, has provided good professional medical care. If you have the opportunity and their patient load allows, get on the waiting list. You will be in caring, safe, and skilled hands! The nurses and office staff have also been exceptional. I think the office may have customer service classes for their employees or this office is in a category far above many I have seen. It is unusual to find so many good people in one working environment."
