Reviews of Valiant Tan, MD
"Dr Tan and his physician assistants have always been very courteous and professional. I truly wish that I didn't need their services but i am very confident in the treatment they are providing to me. Many thanks also to the people working in the blood draw and lab. I'm not a fan of needles but they always ease me though it. I can't praise the chemotherapy staff enough. They were always very attentive and patient with me. Truly angels in disguise."
"Valiant Tan, MD is GREAT UNDERSTANDING I leave there feeling I was in great hands also the staff is AAA Thank you"
"Very disappointed.. My husband was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer December 5th. He passed away April 5th but a lot of the time... I was very angry with the treatment that he was not given.. at the time of diagnosis my husband cancer had already spread to his brain. They seen a spot when they did scans but they failed to treat his spot. Instead they wanted to give him whole body chemotherapy. The chemotherapy did not work and they know that the chemotherapy is not reaching the brain... After just one cycle he became very ill. By that time the cancer was already taken control of his brain. My husband had a seizure right before he was going to get his second round of chemotherapy. I rode him upstairs off of the ground to Dr. Tan's office and he never came in to even see if my husband was okay .. He told his nurse to give him another round of treatment even after he had just passed out in front of the building ..I expected more from these doctors. They know that the first place that small cell lung cancer spread.. I had to refuse treatment and rush my husband to the emergency room .. emergency room doctors advice chemotherapy was not working and cancer had already started to take over his brain. He was starting to have seizures is the brain. I have no idea why they didn't treat my husband's brain from the beginning. I constantly ask about this and they constantly told me that they had their eyes on it. I'm so disappointed that we trusted this office and these doctors. The main purpose for this review is just to warn everyone caregivers and all. Please follow your gut. Do not trust the doctor's alone. Trust yourself. Small cell lung cancer spreads fast. Do not allow the doctors to prolong you with chemotherapy. Get brain scans immediately and begin the treatment on the brain ASAP"
"Dr. Tan and all of the staff are very friendly, courteous and always seem to be smiling, like they are happy to see me. Dr. Tan and Amy listen carefully and explain fully when I have questions or concerns, and when I have good news about my progress to share with them. Dr. Tan recently called me personally to let me know about an issue and that he had ordered me a new prescription to take. That means a lot to a patient, when the doctor calls himself to explain and make sure you understand."
