Reviews
"Well kept area, nice walking. Trails were not that obvious. Will go back again to further explore. No bathroom facilities besides the woods..."
"Excellent park with historical facts. Highly recommend a visit this fall"
"If you look closely at that picture and use your imagination you will see the men of the 49th Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment. June 3rd, 1864 at 4:30 in the morning they charged across that 3/4 mile field at the Confederate position with Richmond 12 miles beyond. Part of the only charge that Grant ever regretted resulted in the bloodiest hour on the US soil. The Battle of Cold Harbor Virginia near Mechanicsville, VA."
"Large open field with much signage. There are a few cannons to mark the opposing forces lines. This battlefield (Mechanicsburg ) is said to be very similar to the actual lay of the land in 1862."
"Well maintained visitor center and exhibits. Surrounding area is also great to take a stroll. Easy access to Belle Isle. Free parking for an hour in the parking lot if validated. Otherwise you can park in the Belle Isle lot which is usually filled up. I'll suggest about two hours to experience this place fully."
