"It was not what I thought it was going to be. It was more of a place where it looks like people were taking baths in the falls. I was more shocked than anything. It wasn't worth the drive. (This is only my humble option.) Best part a butterfly."
"Nice hike... trail is maintained somewhat about halfway (until the first creek-crossing). It's slippery though and the trail markers are gone. Falls are beautiful, but there's no pool underneath and the water seeps into the ground almost immediately after clearing the rocks. My advice is pretty much to keep left at every intersection that has a signpost (the signs themselves are gone)."
"Easy hike. I went after a tropical storm came through and still not much water. I would recommend going after weeks of heavy rain. I also went during deer season. The hunters told me the place was closed and I should also be wearing an orange vest. There are no signs of closure during this time, so I can't confirm what I was told. I think he was lying. Beware and be safe."
"This trail was fun to hike, we went mid July. It is overgrown and there are a ton of ticks, so wear long pants, shirt and a hat and use a ton of bug spray. I took my smaller kids and it was fairly easy for them to hike it. Overall a nice short family outing"
"I've been hiking to waterfalls all over Tennessee since I was a kid and had never heard of this one! Parking lot is just a grassy area next to a barn and will hold maybe 5 cars. Trail was massively overgrown in early September. Definitely wear long pants or use copious amounts of insect repellent. Falls are about .6 miles from the parking area. Once you go into the wooded cove the trail is a little slick and very narrow when its not completely overgrown. So nice to visit a waterfall that is not covered in trash - please keep it that way and pack out whatever you bring in! UPDATE: Visited during a heavy rain and the difference in the flow is amazing. DEFINITELY try to go after a good rain!"
