"The marina is a great place to go sit and enjoy the lake with a refreshing cold drink from the Shipyard. During season they usually always have live bands to enjoy also"
"Have came here many times over the years. Last time was here ate at the ShipyardBar & Grill. I left a review on their page. All I can say is the new owner has made a lot of improvements. it looks so much more upkept and clean. I can say I've never camped here, but have been out on boats here before and it's always been a lot of fun. So if you're a boating person or love the outdoor camping and have a camper or houseboat this would be the place to be in this area."
"My wife and I have been living full time in our 5th wheel since July of last year and this campground qualifies as both the absolute poorest (unhealthy water system - see below) and the second most expensive out of nearly 90 locations we’ve been to. This campground is really a trailer park with just two short-term sites. When we booked our stay, the pictures made it look like it was a very nice resort - it isn’t. There are also some management practices that border, in my opinion, on being at least unethical if not a more serious legal definition. Specifically, we paid $10 additional to be able to reserve the site we wanted. When we pulled in, that site had been given to somebody else; but we didn’t get our extra money back. Now, the big issue: the water system. All hose bibs are located underground. - some just in a dirt pit and others in a 16” diameter casing. That would be okay, if the hose bib wasn’t under 12” of mud, wood scraps, asphalt chunks and even a coke can. It was absolutely impossible to hook up the water without contamination of the rig’s water system. We were there just 4 nights; but both my wife and I developed intestinal issues. No proof it was the contamination but it makes you wonder. Do yourself a favor: camp anywhere else at least for the near future. New management has started making improvements (like the very nice concrete pads for the two short-term sites) but personally, sanitation comes before a concrete pad."
"Small and out of the main part of the lake. Family owned and operated. They also have a small summertime only campground. Only open during the warm months. They have gas, bait, food etc."
