Reviews of Lowcountry Pet Wellness Clinic Spay N Neuter
"I have been taking all of my five fur babies. My 25 yr old cat took her last breath there. I feel comfortable taking them there, it's been over four years now and will continue to go. It's affordable for us to care for out fur babies. And all the staff is great!"
"First of all, I understand this clinic is strategically placed to help cater and do good work for the community, therefore, I understand the reasonable pricing. However, my experience at this clinic was unbelievable and in my opinion, unacceptable. I dropped off my 9 month puppy to be spayed. The check in time was the worst. I was called up and asked to check in with the decisions of all the add ons- such as IV meds, bloodwork, sedatives, anti-inflammatory, etc. They do send you most of the info beforehand so you can decide, however, when I was asked these questions, and I said no to one of them, the manager responded "sounds good you will assume ALL responsibility and just so you know, last week a dog died immediately following surgery because they refused the bloodwork." This continued for most of the questions. I said I wanted to double check with my husband about one of the questions and she responded with, "What you can do is go to the end of the line because we have 16 animals to check in and these people need to get on with their day and get to work." Turns out, in speaking to a former employee, this lady is "just like that" and gets compliments "all the time" but because she's best friends with the owner/vet, there will never be a change. I honestly don't have enough time to continue about this horrid check in but will just say I emailed to speak with the owner/vet and she did call me back leaving a very curt message that she would not operate on my dog until she spoke to me because she heard of my "drop off situation". She called and went on to defend her manager up and down, it wasn't worth continuing the conversation. I picked up the dog (very sweet vet tech and receptionist that did the check out and post op therefore 2 stars rather than 1). They had misplaced the donut/ cone I brought in for her but then found it. My dog ended up ripping her stitches/glue. Had to get a staple from my vet and tacked on more recovery time. Tread lightly if you decide for the bargain."
"do NOT take your animals here. the whole place is sketchy. lady at the desk got rude and threatened to call police for “theft” because i was almost not able to pay in full. luckily i had an emergency fund that i was able to use. they also gave my cats treatments i was not aware of and didn’t consent to. did not prepare me for what my amount was until the time came at checkout. only good words i have to say about this place was the young man and lady in the back were very friendly."
"The staff and vet here are AMAZING!! I really like this place. It is clean and the staff is very professional and LOVE animals! I have gotten better care and attention than I have at a full service vets office, and that is the truth! just make sure to get there early or late because it does get crowded. plenty of places to wait and it is clean...with towels in case your furbaby has an accident!"
