"Contemporary Music Center (CMC) is just fantastic! My daughter had started taking bass guitar lessons at another nearby music school, but she was ready to quit after a few months. I asked her to to give bass one more try at CMC, which she did and she just loves it. Griffin Semple is such a great teacher and always is encouraging her to get better and better. CMC has such a supportive atmosphere which has also contributed to my daughter really enjoying playing the bass and playing with multiple bands. Thank you so much Griffin and Menzie!"

"The young man there is amazing! (I believe his name is Clayton.) He tuned my daughter's guitar (that he restrung) and her violin in a few minutes while I waited. I asked about electric guitars/amps. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend this music store!!!"

"I started taking lessons at CMC in 2012 with Mike Harrington. Mike is a great musician and a great teacher. He always let me learn at my own pace and never pushed or chastised me. He can play by ear and if I ever brought a recording in he could usually show me how to play it. I usually focused on Country music but if I got bored and wanted to spend a few weeks on something different Mike had no problem teaching me Jazz or Rock. He was always enthusiastic and always encouraging. In addition to individual lessons CMC provides students with the opportunity to play together with other musicians in the Rock Camps. I participated in one lead by Mike Harrington and another lead by Griffin Semple (another instructor at the school). He too was very knowledgeable and helped us come together as a band in a few short weeks. We performed at the club they built in the basement known as @4410. It is a professional looking stage with a real light and sound system run from a board at the back of the room by Jerry Hammack. Jerry always makes sure students look and sound their best. I met a drummer at the camp who I still practice with on a regular basis today. Overall I give Mike Harrington and CMC an A+ !!!"
