"Beautiful experience walking from Hopper to Caldwell trailhead and back adjacent to the river. The people are kind and considerate especially when walking with dogs. The walk mostly flat which is nice. The camp sight is clean and close to the river. There are several benches and a picnic table to sit at to take in the lovely views."
"Nice biking trail, numerous points to stop at and take in the sights. Spotted quite a few deer and one Bear. Tunnel is really neat"
"Trail 100% open for use, construction is complete at 1st few miles making surface to be in pristine condition. Going North after mile post 5 the trail is mostly two single trails with grassy median."
"A great trail for hikers, campers, bikers, and anyone looking for a quick and easy leisurely stroll. The trail head is a bit small and starts across the street from where the trail is, but includes a bike repair station. The trail is not paved but can handle strollers fairly well. Although there are a few bits of gravel that might be too much for some smaller wheeled varieties. It will also become more difficult after a rain as it can get muddy. So plan accordingly. The trail recently had an update to their signs and they look great. Here is some information included on the sign at the beginning of the trail. It includes campsite mile markers, potable water locations, and two specific points of interest; Droop Mt Tunnel and Marlinton. (See attached image) CALDWELL TO MARLINTON CAMPSITES LOCATED AT β’ 4.7, 9.5, 20.5, 28.5, 32.1, 33.7, 40.9, 49.3, 51.5 POTABLE WATER LOCATED AT 9.5, 28.5.
