"I have been going to Waves Psychotherapy since the practiced opened, I had been seeing my therapist before she was at this practice. I can only speak for myself but the help that I have recieved and the healing I've gone through could have only have been because of my therapy here. I had Mommy issues and sibling issues that I have resolved through their EMDR process as well as their Neurofeedback process. I can't thank my therapist and Waves Psychotherapy enough on how much self awareness I have gained and how much happier my life is because of it. "I have children/young adults who were adopted, and have experienced trauma during childhood. We went through countless therapists, psychiatrists, counselors and doctors. Eventually, Heather at Waves was recommended to me by another adoptive parent. Finally, a trauma informed practice that knows what works for people with trauma in their background! Neurofeedback was literally a life giver for one of my kids, and now we are doing EMDR. The most exciting thing is that the new EMDR method, Flash EMDR, is so good that my daughter does not have to “relive” her unpleasant experiences to find healing. "Love this practice!! Changed my life!! I didn't know how else to explain what they have done for us, except through written testimony. I'm a military wife & mom of twin boys and my oldest son on the spectrum. I thought PTSD was something soldiers endured from WAR. I didn't know, I endured PTSD as a child, that I carried with me all these years into my adulthood that lead to claustrophobia, anxiety with traveling, anger, bitterness and resentment. I didn't know where some of my triggers came from or how to control them. With E.M.D.R. processing it helped to unlock the trauma my mind blocked out for years!! I have been able to bring all the pain from my past to the surface and FORGIVE those that have hurt me. One of my boys growing up my intuition told me something felt a little "off" about him. I had taken him to different doctors and he was diagnosed with ADD, OCD, and many other things. The twins when they were younger were treated with "play therapy" with daddy being away all the time, it was so helpful for them to meet with a therapist because I couldn't do it alone, I didn't know how to really hear what they were really saying as children. They are teens now and I can honestly say as they got older deployments got easier because WAVES taught us strategies on how to cope with the lost time with dad being away. "Parent please never bring your children here to be seen by Lydia Steele. She made false statements to Child Services and investigators pertaining to my daughter who she saw once. Lydia has only brought grief and pain to my family. After the investigation all charges were dropped and those involved also saw how she fabricated events to fit her story. Military and civilian families please never come in contact with her if you want to protect you family. My daughter now has more issues to overcome because of this woman. You can only post if you put a star, I had no choice."

"This practice is ridiculous and have no idea how they are in the business of helping people. The phone number provided on the answering machine (since there is no way to actually talk to a human) asks you to email or leave a vm to make an appointment, which I did both. I never received a phone call and when I emailed to make an appointment they sent me a list of available appointment. I emailed back with the preferred date and time to then get a email several hours later saying that I need to fill out paperwork and after that is completed I would have to select an appointment 24 hours after the paperwork has been submitted. The paperwork that needs to be filled out was NEVER emailed to me nor was any directions given on how to get or fill out the paper work. If you are in crisis this is the last place you should be looking for help. It is now Thursday I have emailed them since Monday morning and have gotten no where."
