"Disappointed to write this, but my experience with this clinic was just that β disappointing. I called to schedule an appointment and they only had availability a month later, so I scheduled an appointment a month in advance and provided my insurance information β which I was told was accepted. Flash forward a month later to the day of my appointment, and I receive a call ONE HOUR before my appointment starts and I'm told they do not accept my insurance, but I can pay $200 out of pocket for the appointment. The person who called me said that I was supposed to be told that they do not check the insurance until the day of, but I was never informed of this, otherwise I would have sought clarification as to whether my insurance would indeed cover the appointment or not. This is unprofessional and extremely unfair to people who are seeking mental health treatment, many of whom could have spent the time to search for other providers and many of whom cannot unexpectedly pay $200 for an appointment that they thought would be covered. I would highly suggest looking for a different clinic that does not wait until an hour before your appointment to double check your insurance policy."
"My first appt was Aug. 1st. It was a verbal quiz that was about an hour and a half long. The lady doctor gave me the "same" quiz I previously had with the other doctor who referred me to this place. I Ieft debating whether I was coming back for the 2nd scheduled appt. I called a few days later to cancel my next appointment. I thought nothing else about it until they sent me a bill statement for $150.00 stating it was a "missed/cancelled" appt fee. I called them to remind them that I cancelled the appt. They debate me, stating I never cancelled and that the $150.00 bill was valid and due. Mind you, their policy (on the bill they sent me) says $150.00 for missed OR "cancelled" appt, (which was never stated anywhere until they sent me a bill). I "cancelled" almost a month before the next scheduled appt, so WHY am I expected to pay? What kind of business has a policy that you can't cancel an appt "at all" after it is made without paying a cancellation fee? Is that even legal?"
"I have been seeing Lynne Dell'Acqua for over two years. I picked her because she does EMDR. She has helped me and guided me. I feel like I've grown and learned so much about myself. The EMDR is really a life changer!!!! highly recommend her."
"Fill out all paperwork for my appointment weeks ahead...Was looking to speak to someone but on the day of and one hour and half before my appointment the office of Jessica call she can't see me because my insurance.....IThey new my insurance when I made appointment a month or so a go ....Bull ."
"My in-person therapy experience (pre-COVID-19) with a particular female practitioner in this group was short-lived due to the fact that she cancelled on me multiple times and then scolded me later on when I once cancelled an appointment due to car issues, and would insert her personal experience into the sessions. I felt that her approach was not empathetic enough for my personal needs, though maybe others respond better to a cooler "this happens to everyone, get over it," kind of style. The therapy I currently receive is exponentially different - a young female practitioner who is clearly trained, very sympathetic and validating, and does not insert her personal narratives into the session - and is exactly the level of professionalism I appreciate for effective therapy."
