"We used our annual National Parks pass to enter the Shenandoah National Park and made our way up to the lookout. Skyline Road is in excellent shape and made for a fun drive. Watch out for the early morning wildlife -- we had several white tails dart out in front of us. There are many places to view the sunrise, but taking the advice from another reviewer, Hogwallow Flats did not disappoint. At 7:am on a Friday morning, it felt like we had the entire park to ourselves."

"If you are a Cyclist this is the an amazing place to ride. Ride up Skyline drive to just climb or to add a good mix to the training routine. From the Front Royal entrance is 4 miles uphill to the Welcome center, then it changes to a mix of everything. Traffic is less during the week. Keep an eye on weather forecast."
