"Upon entering there was a person at the front desk servicing people and patients. She used courtesy and was very helpful to the patient awaiting his wife. The location was very organized and in order. Everyone worked together being short staffed. I was greeted with responses. The patient that I visited room was in great order. We had a great visit and she was being checked on as I was there by a staff member as well as getting her meds. It was a great visit today."
"I visited facility 12/28/23 & 12/29/23. The visit was good on both days, but during visit while organizing My mom’s area, I came across a hand full of dirty clothes, which stinked of urine mixed into her clean clothes in her closet. I couldn’t believe it because the dirty basket was totally empty!! My assumption is, someone did not want to wash clothing, so dirty clothes were thrown into the closet. I’m not sure how to justify such a thing."
"The Staff was so helpful and calming in dealing with my mother (from the Physical/Occupational staff to the ones who cleaned, brought food, and attended to her needs). Thank you Staff!!"
"When we first went to this facility, I began to wonder was this choice okay due to some staff not seeming to care and appeared not to be happy there. As time went on, I found that there are a few outstanding staff members as outlined below: This facility has a great physical therapy area and staff. There are a few staff members that are outstanding such as Nurse Rejoice. She is truly the best nurse there. She is very compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. She stays over to help her patients and to ensure everything is okay before leaving and she is ALWAYS nice and smiling. She is a true asset to the facility because she doesn't ignore the patients and she cares. Nurse Madison and Nurse Lupa are great too. They always take time to help when called and answer questions with a smile. Neither of these nurses never act like you are interrupting their day. Mrs. Porter in the Business Office, Steven in Admissions, BJ, Pamela W from Patient Travel/Scheduling Area (schedules rides to the doctor appointments, etc.) and Georgia at the Receptionist Desk are always kind, caring, helpful, knowledgeable, and smiling. They truly care about the patients, their families and friends and they help the patients when needed with various requests. It is always a pleasure interacting with these individuals. There are a few CNAs that are also caring such as Vanessa which my husband calls her "Bowling Green" (she is the best), Ms. Z, B. Ward, Coco, Sharday, and a few more that I can't remember their names. Thank God that he placed the Director of Nursing, Ms. Hood, who is working with the Nurses and CNAs to get some things straight with some training. With the new Administrator (I don't know her name, I do see some positive changes taking place though), she has made some great positive changes of improvements and I hope it continues. I realize that they no longer have an outside Agency Staff to help out but it is my hope and some of the patients hope that they will contract with an outside Agency again so that the HH&RC staff will not be so overwhelmed with having to be assigned a large number of patients to one staff member. I believe that may be one reason why some don't smile or seem to care. The food delivered to the rooms could be better. Most times I'm told it doesn't taste good. The lunchtime food served in the dining room seems to be and taste better per the patients. Overall there are some improvements and prayerfully it continues."
"I can honestly say that Henrico Health has improved greatly within the past few months! Clearly going in the right direction. It all begins with the warm and friendly welcome"
