Reviews of Skyview Springs Rehab & Nursing Center
"They took decent care of my mother during her stay, but I keep getting charged $200 each month but my bill is paid in full since this spring. I've tried emailing and calling and nobody will help me. Do not set up auto pay or they'll drain your account."
"There staff was rude. They’re the reason my grandmother is dead. She (71 years old) came in from getting an amputation. she got it because of a lack of circulation to her toes (she got the amputation on the base of her toes). She had a vacuum on the amputation site to avoid infection. They disconnected the vacuum from the vacuum dressing because she moved from the hospital to this rehab and they couldn’t carry over the machines. FYI when you remove the vacuum from the dressing you MUST reconnect the dressing to the vacuum within 24-48 hours with removing the dressing, otherwise the dressing must be removed and replaced at the time the vacuum is connected. They didn’t not remove the dressing for 5 DAYS. So her wound got extremely infected and we couldn’t tell underneath the dressing. They had put her in a room with a very nice and kind woman. That woman then caught the flu and had to be hospitalized. That woman when she still tested POSITIVE came back into THE SAME room and was still my grandmothers roommate (my grandma at the time tested negative before that woman came back.) They left her soiled in her l feces and urine for a minimum of 4 hours while i went to school. This happened not once, not twice, not three times, it happened FOUR times in a span of a week (she had to leave by ambulance that my step mom had to call because they wouldn’t) She had a fever of 102°F coughing, vomiting, fatigue, and all of her symptoms were severe. She was miserable. When she was sent to the hospital she tested positive for the flu and the wound was infected. Also since she was stuck and her bed and got out of her bed a total of 2 times out of the miserable week she was there. Her circulation got worse and it was needed for more to be amputated to the middle of her shin. Her body could not heal, catch up, and recover from the flu, infection, and further issues that were created from her body not being about to recuperate. Her body shut down from there. So we had to put the most amazing human being I have ever met, raised by, and was supported by into hospice. Another issue I am 17. In addition I was coerced into a room and got yelled at for making sure my grandmother was being taken care of because they could not do their job. I NEVER EVER WANT A HUMAN BEING TO ENTER THIS FACILITY AND THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. Save your family and go somewhere else."
"Great staff; unfortunately, just seemingly never enough on duty to do their difficult job(s). I’m rating this facility a “1” because the administration seems to prefer satisfying investors over patients by keeping costs low through understaffing. Also, my mother had her blanket stolen within two days upon arrival. It was a Christmas gift and very comforting to her. Instead, she was very upset. Was told by several people they’d find it, but I’m more inclined to check E-Bay. Changed her room assignment three times during her 20-day stay…. “1”"
"My resident are my family. I care about them like I would if it were my mother or father. The staff I work with are amazing. I am at home at skyview and wouldn't work anywhere else if I have any say in it."
