Reviews of Williamsburg Obstetrics
"This review is a long time coming. I have delivered 2 babies since 2021 with Williamsburg OBGYN. Over the last 3 years the professionalism of the front desk staff has continued to go down. I have always complained about how rude and impersonal they are but this last year has really done it for me. This is an obgyn for crying out loud!!! Women come here for so many reasons but all are personal and vulnerable. Is it too much to ask for your first point of contact to the practice to be pleasant?! They don’t even acknowledge you when you’re standing there wondering if you should approach them or not to check in. And when they do they don’t look up from their computer to even see who they are speaking to. I was fortunate to have very healthy pregnancies and would get so excited for each apt to see growth and obviously ultrasounds but to walk in and be treated like they can’t be bothered to even look at you truly puts a damper on the experience. Lastly, I have had so many issues getting through to literally anyone in the phone. You press zero to reach someone in scheduling and it goes directly to a generic voicemail. So, I left a message to my provider about this issue and received a response that couldn’t have been more lack luster and did not directly address any of my concerns. I was told that due to short staff to leave a voicemail and someone will get back to me. So my OBGYN is now unavailable to take phone calls because they are short staff due to illnesses so you have to leave a voicemail and hope someone returns your call ?! This is the office manager who responded. Absolutely not. I will find an OBGYN who answers their phones and takes responsibility for their staff. Just don’t go here. If you’re expecting and want to deliver in Williamsburg ..I get it.. but just don’t."
"DO NOT GO HERE. This is the most unprofessional office I have ever experienced in my life. The entire staff from the receptionists to the doctors and office manager have ZERO people skills and no care whatsoever. This office made my last pregnancy hell for the entire pregnancy. (I only went here because I wanted to deliver at Sentara Hospital). The doctors here, especially Dr. Keller, did not take my concerns seriously. One instance I was having terrible pains and they kept telling me to take Tylenol and I was fine. I was 20 weeks pregnant and it ended up being a severe bladder infection (which left untreated, would have caused me to loose my baby). I had to deal with the rude receptionist who checks you out at every appointment where she would cut me off mid sentence and sigh when I asked about different dates than the first one she gave me. Dr. Keller ended up delivering my baby and she was cold, rude and had no bedside manner. She was a nightmare and offered nothing to help me after pushing for over two hours after requesting. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME. This office will leave you feeling like your concerns are stupid and only offer you tylenol. Go somewhere else that will care about you and your baby..."
"Been sitting on this review for years, actually. I was on a wait list for two years before Dr. Keller finally fit me into her schedule. I was checked in twice by a nice lady (finally - I've been coming here for years and front desk staff has always been awful and negative, which is not the atmosphere I'm expecting to walk into as a woman with reproductive issues) and had an internal done by someone who didn't speak to me once (I felt really uncomfortable). I understand COVID changed things, and that some doctors and staff just left... but I've been on edge due to pain I've been experiencing - due to what I found were 6 fibroids in my uterus - and I just wanted to be taken seriously. I had a follow-up and expressed my concerns more than once. All I was told was that it wouldn't interfere with my fertility. So I can be in pain, but I can still have a kid. Cool. I'm at VCU now at an infertility clinic in the process of starting IVF with a fabulous doctor. We waited a while for their appointment, too (3 months), but it's been two weeks, we've already had two appointments, and our tests and ultrasounds and procedures will happen over the span of the next two months before we begin the process. AND I'm told the removal of my fibroids is absolutely necessary for fertility due to their location. I'm grateful I found someone to take me seriously, but I'm sad that I can't have my [hopefully] future baby locally where I wanted to. Maybe one day I'll come back if you guys staff up and get doctors who are actually interested in figuring things out. I want someone who can look past the test and labs and dig underneath to find underlying issues. I want someone who cares. And I'm not the only one. It's sad when I can get IVF started quicker than I can even be seen in your office, and it's sad that my second opinion proved yours wrong."
"I gave birth to my first child in February and had a wonderful experience with Williamsburg OBGYN. My husband and I looked forward to our prenatal appointments knowing we would get our questions answered in a supportive and professional environment. We also found the practice to be unusually punctual for a doctor’s office, and I did not have issues reaching them by phone regarding scheduling or other issues. They have continued to be helpful for me postpartum, and I really appreciate the nurse line in particular during this period. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Isbell for safely delivering our baby, but we were happy with all the practitioners there. Definitely recommend for pregnancy care!"
"I had an amazing experience with Williamsburg Obstetrics! I was transferred here about halfway through my pregnancy so it was already nerve wrecking having to see new doctors. I immediately felt comfortable with the doctors and midwives here. Kregan delivered my son last week and I couldn’t have asked for a better birthing experience. She’s so bubbly and takes away the nerves of being around medical personnel. I felt at ease anytime I got to see her and I’m so glad she was the one to do the delivery! Dr Keller and Dr Francis were also great to visit. Thank you Williamsburg Obstetrics for everything! I 1000% recommend them to any expecting mamas."
