"We stayed at this hotel only because we were attending a convention that was held there and we know that filling the room block was important financially. The price was $72/night, so I should have been wary. The hallway had an odor, half smoke, half mildew. The room superficially seemed clean. The bathroom was spotless, however. I checked the beds for bedbugs, and they were OK. The carpets had not been vacuumed well; there was crud in the corners. The free breakfast had spoiled milk, the hot water carafe was cold, and the steam table food was cold, only an hour after it opened. I only ate the packaged muffins. That morning, after my workout in a filthy workout room, I found 2 juvenile bedbugs. We asked housekeeping to completely change the bedding and throughly vacuum the room, because I doubted changing to another room would have helped matters. The function space was great for the convention, but the dividers for the rooms have not been used for a while and had mold/mildew on them. They were severely understaffed, but also very responsive."
"we were at a convention at this hotel, but we actually stayed at a different hotel. The facility worked well for the event. The property is older and would benefit greatly from some upgrades. The restaurant Jolene's had GREAT food and is a huge saving grace of this hotel."
"If zero stars was a thing. Breakfast was ice cold, the wallpaper was peeling, the mold. It was obvious they just threw wallpaper up just to cover it. The only thing that was clean was the sheets. The smoke detectors are from 2007, which smoke detectors are only valid for 10 years. They tried to move us rooms, each one was worse than the last. Roaches, stapled wallpaper, water stains... the list goes on. DO NOT STAY HERE! Health and safety concerns."
"This is by far the worst hotel I have ever had to stay at. So strange it was completely full and the entire hotel smelled of mold and mildew. Parts of the floor were rotted out and had the carpet not been there you would definitely have fallen through. The breakfast they offer was disgusting frozen egg ans sausage Patty's that were still cold and a couple of muffins laid out. Our room had broken tiles all over the bathroom. There were also hairs on the shower walls from the previous guests. The wallpaper in our room was held together by literal staples a d the spot next to the ac unit was coming completely off exposing the black mold on the wall. The floors in the hall ways were filthy! There were broken chairs in hallways. Our room didn't have a remote and upon going down to ask for one I got stuck on the elevator! Terrifying. And upon telling the clerk he just said oh it does that use the other one at the other one of the hotel.... and we never did get our remote. The entry way is deceiving its the cleanest part of the entire hotel. Also none of the outside doors lock. The sheets were clean.... but that's it. This hotel needs some serious updates and or to just be condemned. The staff just doesn't care."
"I'm a big believe in "you get what you pay for" so I wasn't expecting much from a cheap hotel with mediocre reviews. I can look past the dated decor, scuffed paint and wallpaper, other signs of wear and tear so long as the place is clean, but this place was not. The decor of the hotel isn't just dated - it looks like it was last refreshed in the late 90s or early 2000s - it's downright falling apart. Wallpaper is splitting at the seams and was stapled back to the wall in several places. The carpet is disgusting and the lobby, rooms, and hallway all had their own unique smell - none of them good. The shower had one temperature setting - scalding hot. What tipped me over the edge though was finding a dead cockroach on the floor at the foot of the bed. Housekeeping was in the room every day to make the bed and still the cockroach remained, even after I brought it up with the front desk and the attendant supposedly made a note. Check in was fast and friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the sheets and towels seemed clean (albeit with clearly faded stains from prior occupants that had been attempted to be washed off). There are cheaper hotels that are much cleaner and less run down than this one. Stay there instead."
