Reviews of Central Virginia Community College
"Student orientation for dual enrollment sucked. It's so tedious and it's not even compatible with high school students who don't even know how to fill some of the information that the school already has."
"It should be shut down, except for the fact that they are lucky some of the professors are there when they are too good for it. I left a thorough review on their Facebook page -- which they then decided to hide. Update: It sounds like Liberty took over. I hope they fixed up their disorganization."
"I've had a wonderful time here. I'n 29 and decided to pursue my education after all these years. I'm going for radiology and the school has been so extremely helpful and friendly through this entire experience."
"I would give it a 0 star if I could but I had to put something. This school doesn’t even deserve a star. They are the worst to get in touch with. And the worst by far about student loans. I do NOT recommend this school to anyone! Not even my worst enemy. They are bad about communication. I’ve never got anything in the mail saying I had extra student loans or saying I needed to pay anything. And now all of a sudden they’re demanding money paid in full. This school is a joke."
"Up until this point it has been a few small hurdles that have been resolved fairly quickly and would leave my rating at a 4 star rating. However, this previous semester has been nothing but a nightmare when it comes to the bookstore and financial aid. The bookstore website offers laptop computers. So I attempted to order one using my financial aid. The order was cancelled and I had to visit the bookstore, which turned into having to get some kind of voucher to use my own financial aid for a computer. After some back and forth about not supposed to have been awarded a voucher in the first place, they accommodated the voucher to get me my laptop. After getting all that squared away, I checked back in to make sure my financial aid had covered my books, the laptop, and my classes. To which I was told it did. Or as of today, it was supposed to be any way. I went to schedule my classes and was met with a wonderful message online that my account is on a hold due to bookstore charges that I already have a receipt from in August (Almost 2000 dollars with the laptop). Almost 4 months later and something that was taken care of is now suddenly still a problem. As of right now it's being looked into by a financial aid office worker that has been very helpful through all of this but my review will still stand until this is rectified. Also I will no longer be using the bookstore because the risk of getting anything through financial aid there just isnt worth it. Edit: also, thank you for the wonderful Christmas gift of stress as if this semester wasn't enough stress for me."
