"My sweet mother is 98 years old and medically fragile. She has had Home Instead companion care for the last 8 years and we could not be happier with all of our Home Instead family. Sue Palmer plans meals and cooks, keeps track of all the food inventory in the refrigerator, files paperwork, washes and styles her hair and keeps her toenails healthy and beautiful. Judi Henry is here 5 days a week, helps her shower and dress, takes her to her medical appointments, helps her walk with her walker in the mall 4 days a week and even runs out to get groceries as needed. Renee Sweetenburg is often here overnight and weekends, and makes sure the kitchen and bathrooms get a thorough cleaning. She keeps all supplies refilled in the house, including cleaning supplies, paper towels and toilet paper. Mother always comments on how kind, gentle and patient she is, when working with her. Karen Morris is here overnight weeknights. She never fails to be dependable, faithful, and kind in every way. She has a very generous spirit and seems to enjoy her work tremendously. Allison Chan has been here for the shortest time, but she has been so flexible and bends over backwards to be accommodating. She has come early several times so that she can answer the door for guests, which mother can no longer do. Because her hours are limited, she is only here for limited shifts. Mother says that even in short shifts, they always "work as a team" to accomplish whatever task they need to complete. Overall, these women support each other so that they can make mother's household run smoothly. The are all remarkable, each in their own way. Mother and I are so very grateful to all the Home Instead staff, to include those who do the scheduling. My whole family has great regard for each of them."

"Leigh and Barbara are my husband's caregivers. They are both very competent, caring aides. Not only do they bathe him, change him, do the laundry and dishes, and help with feeding and exercises, they have a calming voice which he likes. "Because of a TBI, my husband was in need of a caregiver, so I chose Home Instead to help us out. That was 2 1/2 years ago. Connie has been with us for almost the entire time. She and my husband have quite a structured routine every morning going from Planet Fitness to home exercises to personal care. Once I told her she needed to a physical therapist because of her attention to detail with his workouts.
