"I've gotten several pieces altered here over the years, and I'm always extremely pleased with the service they provide. They've fixed my shirts and have taken in pants and an expensive suit- and everything has turned out the way I wanted. I'm always happy go here, and the couple who runs this place is very sweet and professional."
"UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES Brought in a wedding dress I bought for ~$200 to have cleaned prior, having explained as much. I was asked if I wanted it boxed, and I was hesitant and again explained that I wanted it de-wrinkled and cleaned and was concerned boxing it would cause creases. The guy reassured me it was common practice and the best way to keep it safe, so I agreed. One month later, I come in and receive the box...and they charged me $180!!! When I opened it, they clearly had preserved it as if it was post-wedding, not at all what I had asked for, and there are obvious creases in the material from being folded into the box. The owner will only agree to refund the $30 for the box if I return it and offered half off of dress preservation after my wedding. One, I do not intend to spend ANOTHER $90 on dress preservation, or to preserve my dress at all. I said as much and asked for a refund and said I would pay $30 for the cleaning and time. He refused. Having spoken with an employee, this is COMMON PRACTICE. He does something more than you ask for, charges an insane amount of money, and then claims he needs to be compensated for his time. I intend to report him to the BBB to fix his crooked ways. Do not support this business!!!!!!!!"
"The reviews for this cleaners aren't very accurate. They're the cheapest in Richmond for the quality cleaning they do. The alterations aren't all that spectacular but the dry cleaning is perfect. They're also very nice/friendly."
"Absolutely pathetic. I had custom two dress shirts from Beecroft and Bull that I had only worn twice that the cleaners damaged (two-inch rips in the center of the back). When given to the woman at the desk she told me that since she was not the person that had handled them when they came in initially that she would have to call the person who was and that they would call me the next day. No call came. I stopped in a few days later and spoke to the man who handled my clothes initially, he told me that he would call with an update later that week. No call came. Stopped in again and saw the same woman that I dealt with when the clothes were brought back, she told me that she would have him call me. Finally, I get a call saying that they would reimburse me for the price of the shirts if I could provide a receipt. I brought said receipt down to the cleaners at my earliest opportunity and was told that they could not reimburse me for the amount that day and that they would need to have a check written by the owner, which would take another week. It had been 2 and a half weeks since the initial damage had taken place. I walked out with a promise that I would have a call to come pick up the check that coming Friday. No call came. However, I did receive an email from Beecroft and Bull and the salesman that I had dealt with when I originally purchased the shirts. Apparently, they took both shirts to the salesman and asked him to stitch up the shirts rather than reimburse me. After the salesman refused, they asked him to instead replace the entire back panel of the shirt, to which the salesman again refused. All told, it took me a full month to be reimbursed for damage that I did not cause, my clothier was harassed at his place of business, and I have yet to receive any sort of real apology for the number of hoops I had to jump through in order to get things fixed. I've worked in customer service and service industries for a lot of my adult life and I recognize that mistakes will be made, but the runaround that I got made me feel really unimportant and as if they weren't really interested in making things right. Absolutely unacceptable service. Would not recommend to anyone for any reason."
"I switched to Park's Cleaners from Puritan because of their outrageous prices. Park's has good prices for the area and I've never had any quality issues with them (been going for about 8 months). I don't send in anything with ridiculous stains so I can't review their stain-removing ability. My clothes are usually ready in about 2 days and pickup/drop-off is very fast. Parking isn't really an issue because there's a "loading zone" space right in front of the building and you're in and out with in 1 minute anyway. The only negative thing I've experienced is that they hang my skirts to a clothes hanger with safety pins... I wish they'd upgrade to the clip hangers so my clothes don't come back with tiny safety pin holes."
