"Thought I'd give this place another try after them losing 7 pairs of my husband's jeans last year. Stopped in today to have a pocket stitched on a pair of jeans, lady at desk says sure we can do it but "she's" not here. I said that's fine I don't need them back today. She said I'm allowed to take anything unless she's here so come back tomorrow.. Will never be back."

"Let me start off by saying I don’t generally leave a review on a business ever. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt and second chances. I surely gave this company many second chances. At first I was very optimistic about using Amherst Dry Cleaners (Madison Heights)… the initial conversations I had with staff were pleasant. However I waited 2 and a half months for a service that I didn’t receive. I paid $200 for my bridal gown to be cleaned and preserved. After month and a half, I called and was told there was a wait due to the supply chain and the issue of obtaining the preservation boxes. I was in no rush so this was not an issue for me. After calling a second time at the 2 and a half month mark, they were rude and their customer service was horrible … I was told to call the main cleaners in Amherst about the status of my gown. I informed them that I would appreciate that they reach out to the other location and let me know the status of my gown since I had entrusted it to the Madison heights location them months ago!! I received a call back from the owner at the cleaners in Amherst and she was very polite and professional and let me know my dress would be ready in 4-5 days. I finally received a call that my dress was ready for pick up. The Madison heights cleaners closes very early, especially for someone who works a full time job 9-5. When rushing to go pick up my gown, I was held up at the red light across from the location - a few minutes until closing. I called to ask if they would stay open one minute past closing since I was only a few feet away. I received very unprofessional and rude response but they obliged and stayed open until 5:31pm. Once I finally got my gown, I noticed the preservation box was just a card board box. When I initially called to inquire about the service, I was told my dress would be preserved in a box with a viewing window. I paid $200 and waited 2 AND A HALF MONTHS, for a service that wasn’t fulfilled. There was no manager on site when I picked up my gown and the lady I spoke with seemed unconcerned and dismissive. I am very disappointed in Amherst Dry Cleaners in Madison Heights and I unfortunately will not be returning or recommending this service/location to anyone."

"Excellent service. Left my coats there in December and they called me 6 months later to remind me to pick up. Very honest about what they can and cannot do safely. Which is an excellent thing when you're getting costumes or antiques cleaned."

"Initially I would have given 5 stars, due to the great work they did the first two times I dropped off items. I recently dropped off 3 items to be taken in. Was told every morning, it would be ready that evening. In the evenings, was told that she couldn't get to it, that it would be ready the next morning. This conversation took place daily, for 3 days. On day 4 and 7, was told that she had forgotten about my items. I understand that my order is not the only order and would be fine if I was told, I can't get to them for a week or whenever. I do not like being lied to and"forgotten about". Needless to say, I took my order elsewhere. Very disappointed in the lack of consistency."
