Reviews of Beach Eye Care
"I love Beach Eye Care & all of their employees. Everyone is pleasant, as well as the environment. My optometrist was the first to ever find out that I didn’t have a vision problem (besides reading) But knew exactly for years & knew pin pointed the exact issue. 20/20 vision with severe dry eye disease. All other optometrists gave me prescriptions for eye glasses & still couldn’t see. They take the time with their patients & throughly exam them. Wonderful for glasses & contacts as well. SHOT out to all of the employees at Beach Eye Care on Cedar Rd :) Dr Ritenhour & Dr Barker are both Dry eye accredited & are absolutely wonderful & pleasant. Again, every issue is always addressed in a timely manner & with compassion. Dr R always throughly goes through my exams with no hesitation & tries her hardest to get the problem resolved."
"New to progressive lenses!!! Cheena Diaz assisted me with picking frames and lenses. I expressed my apprehension with getting them due to cost and family members stating they were hard to adjust to. Cheena told me that she has been wearing them for 10 years and talked me through some of the adjustments you make after getting into the progressive lenses and that the newer technology has made great advancements in this field. I’ve been in glasses with astigmatism since I was 8 y/o with 20/200 vision and had corrective laser surgery in my mid 20’s. Moved back into corrective lenses about two years after the surgery. I’m in my mid 40’s now and my “reading vision” has progressively gotten worse over the last two years so I went ahead and ordered the progressives hoping that it wouldn’t be a failure for me. From the moment I put them on it was a great fit and adjustment. Just have to turn your head a little more when looking up/down/left/right to keep your focal point in the right sweet spot of the lenses. No problem here. I no longer have to take my glasses off to look at my phone or read books or cooking instructions and I can look up at the television from reading a book without putting on or taking glasses off. Thank you Cheena for your patience, experience and reassurance! Sincerely, J.Hilton"
"Horrible service! I got charged for part of the exam eye that was never specified o would be charged afterward. It wasn't said until I called several times that I was waived last year. It took about a full month for them to refund me. I had to go into the store to find out my papers were "lost" for however the amount of time it took to file the refund. Unexcusable customer service on the phone. They kept saying they would call back but never did. Then refunded me, I still got charged even though they said it would be pull out from the refund. Waste of money and time. If you can afford over $300 glasses, don't go here!! Update! The customer service rep contacted me and gave a refund. Apologized for the long wait and was respectful. Unlike the staff at the store"
"I've always had a great experience at Beach Eye Care. I ordered new glasses for the first time in years and Silesia took care of me and she was wonderful! She explained everything clearly and got me a fantastic pair of glasses at the best price. Their contact lenses department is great as well and I haven't met a doctor I didn't like. I highly recommend Beach Eye Care!"
"Silesia did an awesome job at helping me. I walked in and in 5mins of her approaching me, we found exactly what I was looking for! She’s super awesome and was very friendly. I didn’t receive care from the optometrist and randomly came in to order eye glasses. 4 stars because the front desk wasn’t as professional as expected. It seemed like they didn’t prioritize the patients in front of them while having side conversations with each other."
