Reviews of Grand Village at Williamsburg
"So many issues with the renovated apartment. only stayed here a year and they are now raising the rent to 1300 for 2 BD the apartments are not worth that for 800 square feet. theres no club house or fitness center . the pool close at 5pm. mulitple break ins (cars) in the neighborhood. Very old units with roaches unadvoidable . only good thing is the neighborhood quiet . Now im due again for another baby and the rent has gone up and my lease is due right when i gove birth so im stuck with the high rent and ugly apartment"
"My family and I have lived at Grand Village at Williamsburg for 2 years and we have enjoyed every moment here. The units are being renovated and I now live in one of the renovated, 3 bedroom townhomes and it is gorgeous! The property manager, April, is hands down the best property manager I've ever dealt with. She gets things done! I highly recommend Grand Village at Williamsburg for anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and affordable place to call home."
"Nice location, nice price. Management is nice but very busy, one person running the whole office, I suggest more support. Maintenance workers are unprofessional. Recently had an issue with communication and follow up with Daniel the maintenance guy who did not call me back like he said he would and then walked up to my door smirking later after I called the housing manager to see when the plumbers were coming and after they finally arrived, this is also the same people who did not tell me what time they were coming and thought it was funny when I answered my door in pajamas. I'd give more stars if they had mature respectful maintenance. And not to mention the time I came home and the toilet seat in my bathroom was up and I had no idea someone had come to my house to change the air filter and decided to use my toilet. I also have a neighbor who lives above me and makes all kinds of noise at night. The upstairs rooms are situated exactly above the lower. Other than all of that, it is a nice quiet neighborhood, no loud parties and such. The landscaping is well kept and the apartment was lovely upon move in. Oh, let me also mention I didn't find out until after I moved that the apartments are Smoking. I have smelled cigarette and weed coming from upstairs windows and sometimes my apartment smells faintly of cigarette smoke. That about sums up my experience, these aparments have the potential to be 5 stars, especially if they were non-smoking and had a larger Management support team and accounability."
"This community took over $500 from me. I lived at the Grand Village (formerly known as Stonegate Apartments) for three years. While not perfect, the rent was cheap, and I had very few issues with management. However, Starock Management took over ownership of the complex late last year. After that, it was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone at the leasing office. Even during the so-called working hours, no one ever picks up the phone or returns your voicemails. My lease ran until the middle of June. I was told told by management to pay rent for the entire month as I would receive a refund for the days I was not on the lease, to which I complied. As of August 22nd, I have not received what I am owed for June nor was I ever advised on whether I would get my security deposit back. I have sent emails and left multiple voicemails to no avail. To avoid falling into a similar trap, I encourage all to stay away from this complex. Update: Received security deposit over 90 days after move-out. I never got my half-month's rent that I am owed, however."
