Newport Landing Apartments

"The place is nice on the surface. Most apartments seem to have a german roach issue. Package thieves do exist here, so don't deliver anything to your door. It wasn't an issue till about a year or so ago. The rent has gone up quite significantly compared to previous years. The staff are fine and haven't had issues with them. Early 2024 update, so the area is getting worse. Besides package/food delivery theft. We also get late night door checkers pulling on car handles. So if you leave a door unlocked, they'll break in and take what they can. It won't be long till we get window breakers. I have noticed a reduction in german roaches. Currently, there seems to be an epidemic of weed use inside and out of apartments. It can be very bad at times. I'll recommend more cameras, which there isn't any currently, so there's more of a chance of catching the shady folk."

"Me and my family lived here for over 2yrs and every time we had an issue with something it took over a month for them to check it out because the maintenance workers were leaving left and right they could not keep them. We had a mold problem in the laundry room and where the tube was at and their solution was to paint over it and it came back 3x. So we got tired of putting in work orders for it because there wasn’t going to fix the problem the right way. Once we moved out we had a sticker of our kids name one their door and it peeled some of the paint off so now they want to charge us $350 per door because they say that the doors are too damaged to repair I added the pictures of the doors that they say are damaged beyond repair you can be the judge of that. If anyone reads this review I highly advise you to find a different place to rent because you will lose if you stay here."

"I just moved in just shy of 2 weeks & no complaints. When viewing the unit prior to signing the lease everything was spotless & immediately smelled clean when walking in. The staff has been very helpful & Jessica always greets you with a smile when walking in."

"So do not move here !!!!! I moved here first in April of this year I was completely settled into my apartment then 2 months later I saw a roach in kitchen. Then as time passed by I started see more and more but mainly coming from the kitchen behind the stove. I called the rental office to come spray. I had to pack everything completely up like I was moving in order for them to spray. So I did two months later I started to see them back again. So I found a new place and broke the lease. So the people that I discussed this with we had everything set and stoned on what I supposed to do and how much it would cost. A week later we had a whole new leasing crew and property manager was different so I brought up out moving out she really didn’t know what I was talking about until she looked up my file. We’ve talked about what she saw in the system then she tried get me fill out a new 60 day notice form and gave me a different price from what was originally from the beginning. Which I knew something wasn’t right then she called the old leasing manager to get things straight and what the was the reasoning behind it. This was back in October of this year so my 60 end on December 20th 2020 then we discussed about a payment plan getting paperwork typed up but I called the leasing manger 3x to remind her but I never got a called back my paperwork wasn’t ready nor given a walk through date this was back in November. So when it was time to turn my keys I did and I told the assistant I never got call from your manager about my payment plan nor my apartment walk through. The staff is so unorganized."
