Reviews of Cookie Factory Lofts
"I recently moved in CFL and I can honestly say I love it here. When looking for a new place to call home, I came across CFL and worked with Tyler. She is literally amazing and so patient. I was very transparent as to why I was breaking my lease at my previous place/ things that I really felt I needed from my complex. Tyler worked with me through the whole process as I transitioned to into this new space. She always (and still does) answered my questions throughly and she gets back to me very quickly. Everything about her is just great. To the space itself: I live in a studio. I can honestly say their studios are really spacious and open. I love that the units have high ceilings, a lot of countertop space, and in-unit washer and dryers. My studio almost feels like a one bedroom without a front wall. The windows are big and you get so much light that I rarely turn on my lights. You do have the option to do free surface parking (first come first serve) or a small fee to park underneath. I haven’t had any issue with pest or major disruption. I feel when people complain about things such as thin walls- it is just a common thing when you are living in an apartment. When I first moved in, the unit was clean. I overall have quiet and friendly neighbors. If you have a hookah like I do, units are smoke free so you would have to do so outside, but there are so many cute places in the area to have get togethers to do so. I enjoy the amenities. I do wish there was a separate, more secure room for packages, however, I know they have been sending e-mails to better the experience for everyone as it pertains to this. I have had a handful of packages delivered for both personal and work and I haven’t had any theft issues. I do think re -working this system out in the future would give a lot of their residents a better peace of mind. Overall, I love it here. It is right in between Scott’s addition and the Fan so there are a ton of breweries, cafe’s, and eating places to visit! It is only 15 ish min away from shopping like Short Pump Town Center so that is nice too. Oh and completely random, but a lot of the dog moms here are always so sweet and their fur babies are so kind and friendly!"
"I have lived in the cookie factory lofts for just over a year and am grateful to have found this apartment. The AC works very well, the washer and dryer are great, maintenance is very quick to solve issues, and the views from the apartment are fantastic. The location is also conveniently close to restaurants, breweries, and many other helpful amenities. I only gave it 4 stars and not 5 because one of the entrances that I use a lot, more often than not lately, has just been not able to close and lock all the way making for a bit of a security concern. Parking can also be spotty if you don’t have a garage pass or are not home before 8. Otherwise though, all in all, a great spot."
"I've lived in the Cookie Factory Lofts since moving to Richmond in September 2016. I started in a studio, and have since moved between two two-bedroom apartments with my partner. The most recent unit we've moved into has its own very large patio (one of four on the front of the building!) that we watched Fourth of July fireworks from this year. I have really enjoyed calling this place home as it's close to nearly everything - you don't *really* need a car to get around in this part of town, there's plenty of food/bars/breweries, ALDI grocery is next door, and lots of other amenities within a short walk like parks, museums, and public transit (the Pulse takes you straight downtown, no need for parking headaches!). It's truly a "launching pad" for seeing everything this side of Richmond has to offer. I'll admit that there are things that could be improved with regards to public spaces in the building (the quality/quantity/usability of patio/pool furniture is a perennial head-scratcher), but the management has always been responsive and accommodating when I've had issues with apartment appliances or disturbances of any kind. Just recently we had our refrigerator kick the bucket, and within the morning we'd reported it there was a temporary replacement in its place. Work requests for other issues are usually taken care of within a few days. I know several of my neighbors are long-time residents and continue to rent here because it is a well-built, beautiful building in the heart of Richmond's fastest-growing neighborhoods!"
"We moved into the Cookie Factory Lofts June of 2020. We've had a great experience here and absolutely love our apartment (especially our window)! The entire building has so much character and almost every apartment is different. Tyler and Susan (management of Cookie Factory Lofts) are always extremely quick to respond to any issues or questions that have popped up. Aside from the building, the location is amazing. We are a short walk to any of the popular breweries/restaurants in Scott's Addition. Our window overlooks River City Roll so on the weekends, we get to enjoy the music and concerts they have there. I appreciate the care that the owners/management have put into the upkeep of the building. They recently hired a company to come and clean the outside of all windows here and I couldn't be happier about this since our window is the best feature of our apartment. I also know they have invested in some new patio furniture. I highly recommend the Cookie Factory Lofts to anyone looking to rent!"
"When looking for an apartment last year, I was relieved to find a vacancy at Cookie Factory Lofts. The apartments have everything I look for in an ideal unit: lots of light at all times of day, in-unit heat and AC, designated resident parking, in-unit laundry, a dishwasher, key fob exterior doors…closet space! The location is perfectly close to interstate 95. The other amenities were just added bonuses. CFL has everything I need, and the cherry on top is how cool it is to live in a building with history & architectural character."
