Reviews of Ashley Oaks Apartments in Richmond
"I’m currently a resident of Ashley Oaks, and I do not advise anyone to move over here. The apartments and townhouses are run down, & they barely renovate them and take their time sending maintenance staff to fix anything. Also the entire leasing office staff and the manager Melissa are horrible and don’t do their jobs. The turnover rate is horrible, they have new staff members in the leasing office every few months and they all lack training and know nothing about running a leasing office. My fiancé and I have been residents for 7 years and I have never dealt with anything like I have this year. We have been threatened with inaccurate back rent notices and false alarm court notices because have all failed to do their jobs. HUD and legal aid has been notified. But STAY AWAY, do not move over here!"
"I moved in two years ago to whut I believe to be garden style apartments not a indoor jungle gym. These apartments are on top/next/beside 4, 5, 6 cemeteries. Not cool! The pipes are leaking and rusty I walk in my front door and slipped and slide to the patio door. Speaking of the patio these poor blinds fall down constantly and leaves me scratching my brows. I order delivery and all the stray cats surrounded my door rauh rauh meow purrrr-er. After sunset the roaches greet me at my car, whut it do? I took my young child to the play ground and all the kids were kicking , scratching, and hanging in a Jordan. Pop-in if you want too, I'm going back to the south."
"Decent apartments/townhomes Apartment style has walk-in closets Neighbors can be a pain Management sucks Maintenance is unreliable But certainly affordable Where I lived was pretty quiet, but the downstairs neighbors always gathered outside in the summertime. Irritating to always have to walk past a group of people, eating, staring and in the way. All on the steps and such and leaving trash!"
"If u live at Ashley Oaks please be aware that they can tow your car for pulling up in front of your residence. Even if you are dropping off groceries, running to the bathroom, unloading anything heavy, and any emergency situation that may come up. The reason they will give u for towing you will be not in a spot meaning even if u park wrong in a spot or saying u are blocking a trash can when it's clearly accessible. Rude. Inconsiderate to the residents that live here. Be ready to lose 125$ If u are elderly or disabled be ready to have to walk and carry anything heavy from now on. The fear of taking in groceries or running to the bathroom can cost you losing your car for 125$"
"This place sucks i use to love living here before we got new management and office staff. I had to move out of my apartment because my ceilings where leaking from the apartment over top of mine until my apartment unit developed mold in it. I called the rent office at least every other day for 4 weeks i even tired to call the corporate office number an still got no response or a return call this all happen in july when someone finally came out it was August an they only came out because i contacted the City of Richmond on them. The city official had to make two trips to the office before some one would come look at the apartment with him. The office was fined and giving 15days to fix the issue. So by this time the mold was blowing out of my vents all over the hallway walls, as well as the bathroom and the master closet in the master bedroom. I lost so many clothes, shoes, and furniture. The office sent out two men with mold remover spray to wipe down the walls and ask me to move out while contractors come to fix the issue an put up new sheet rock. I was told it would take 3 weeks. Well 4 weeks later i return home an not one thing had been done a contractor came on the day i returned home he looked area an stated they have to gut this unit i cant handle this i dont do that type of work. After that day i never heard another word from the office about fixing the apartment or any thing else."
