"*Will update at a later time with more information As for now it has been 90 days and I have not received my security deposit back. I sent emails ..it takes weeks for anyone to even respond. When they do respond it is very dry and little to no information is provided. They claimed they had to check with the accounting department to make sure the check was not cashed. But yet never provided a date as to when they claimed a checked was ever mailed in the first place. Two weeks later I received an email with the same little to none information stating a check was not cashed ( bc it was never sent in the first place) and they would be issuing another check. That’s it that’s all no date was provided as to when to expect it or tracking information nothing. It has been 90 days !!!!!! The leasing agreement clearly states 45 days! I have been beyond patient. ****Update: I have received my security deposit back. Thanks to the help of Emily from WAUKESHAW. Which I greatly appreciate. Overall review and rating still stays the same for other issues that i experienced. Roaches, gnat infestation, loud music, paper thin walls, dark moist mildew, no fresh air circulation. No windows! Only one window that looks into the hallway. The other window looked out to a brick wall ( that appeared to be some type of closet storage space). If you suffer from depression or anxiety like myself I don’t recommend this property at all. I never realized how much I took for granted having windows until I didn’t have any. No concept of what time of day it is or what the weather is like outside. I worked full time from home. Some days the internet would go out ( it’s included in rent) and it would be out for days. I had to change my cellphone plan to include hotspot. Neighbors argued everyday all day ! At all times of the night. I had to buy noise canceling headphones just to be able to sleep at night. My neighbors on the opposite side were a very sweet older couple. I was on the bottle level the neighbors above could hear everything as well. A cough, burp, fart, toilet flush, sneeze, sex you name it you can hear it all. My unit had a walk in shower which I personally loved. Only two closets one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Not a lot of storage space. The stainless steel appliances were nice.Understand that everyone’s experience is different but I have to be honest about mines."
"This apartment was a very moldy and 'wet' place. By far, the absolute worst place I have ever lived. There is no! Sunlight, windows do not open for fresh air OR in the event of an emergency. The place smelled like mold, mildew and corn chips from move in. Upon move out, lifted my couch and MOLD all underneath. My cement floors at move in look HORRIBLE very sad home I had!! To live in for a lease period of a YEAR. My small, long-haired dog lost! Virtually all of her hair as a reaction to the MOLD in the unit. We have since moved and in just 2 months she has a body full of hair again! We both literally suffered through an agonizing year! This building needs to be demoed no doubt. It is not habitable for humans or animals. Keep looking, Richmond has all-inclusive nice, new and units without mold. I know, I got me one! Praise Jesus I'm out of that apartment. First pic of my little, sweet girl! All! Healed up and living her best life again !"
"ROACHES/SPIDERS/FEAS/STINK BUGS. Building is saturated with bugs. Absolutely a nightmare of a place to live. New management took over, everything went up. Old management worked with me and significant other on our financial troubles. These people gave us 15 days to get out after we couldn’t pay the total balance in 15 days. Appliances are cheap, they charge you for everything when you leave. Like 20 bucks to scrub a spot off the wall. Dumb charges like that. This apartment building has drained me of a lot of soul. No natural light. No exit or ability to escape your apartment in the event of a fire. Very cheap and “value” made junk. These people DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. AT ALL. DONT WASTE YOUR ENERGY OR TIME."
"The apartment and building were great. My only issues with the facility were the weak water pressure, slow maintenance services and paper thin walls/floors. Everything else functioned perfectly, great distance to post and for the most part, quiet neighbors. The elephant in the room however is the management company. Plum street partners is the the worst company have dealt with in over 15 years of renting. They hide behind a 50 page rental contract and, while claiming to be military friendly, will not budge an inch beyond the minimums required by law. I would recommend that any service member considering to rent any Plum Street properties think twice. You basically need to let them know your move out date the day you move in, in writing, triplicate, and even then they'll find a loop hole to extend "rent responsibility" to 60 days after you've moved out. You should fully expect them to keep your entire security deposit and have no sympathy for any counter argument you can muster. They will absolutely exploit that fact that you will be PCSing upon move out and be unable to carry the legal battle beyond that point."
"Totally cute. Small closets and so confused how most everyone’s windows don’t allow you to exit the building. What if there’s a fire? But the high ceilings and “exposed” brick walls make it esthetically pleasing."
