Reviews of Waterside at Ironbridge
"Honestly, this place is what you make it. I have yet to see an apartment complex (and I've lived in quite a few) that's anywhere near perfect. We've been here since 2019. We transferred to a larger unit last month. Overall, we have definitely had things that needed to be fixed upon move-in. We submitted countless issues, and Andres (our maintenance man) has been super patient and quick to act. Being that he is one person responsible for all of maintenance, I think he's doing a great job. He can't be everywhere at once. He has also come by on days when the leasing office is closed, so that's appreciated too. We have called emergency maintenance in the past, and they have been quick and efficient as well. My biggest gripe is that we've seen a few roaches since moving into the new unit, but they had pest control come out within 2 days of letting them know. They also confirmed with us that pest control had treated, and they told us they would return in 10 days if the treatment didnt take. I will say that the floor/ceiling situation is thin. We used to live on the 4th floor, so we never heard anyone or anything. We think our upstairs neighbors probably have smaller kids, so we definitely understand the little bit of noise here and there. Otherwise, we have liked living here. We feel safe, and we are comfortable in the neighborhood. Cheryl is always incredibly responsive when we reach out, and she has done what she can to help us."
"I moved in June of 2020. So I can assure you the only reason I am still here is because it’s all I can afford at the moment. And even if that’s the case they don’t really try to work with any of the tenants here knowing we are all facing hard times. I’m a single mom of two. I’m doing the best I can and I keep the leasing office up to date if I have any issues at all. But this latest time, they made it seem like there would be no exceptions or anything. If I don’t pay the other half I could face eviction. And you would think they would want to keep their tenants right? Nope. They will just give you the boot so they can raise the price for the next person that falls for the trap. They will just paint over the walls, and if the carpet looks decent they don’t bother to even vacuum. They’ll keep the same carpet from the previous tenant. When I first moved in it was COVERED in cat and dog hair and I have zero pets. And I was SO frustrated but I couldn’t go back and change the paperwork. I didn’t even get to do a walkthrough before I moved in, just a walkthrough the day of move in. Oh yeah there’s roaches. Not like the regular small food infestation roaches. Just these massive wood roaches or water bugs as they like to call them and they will put in a pest control request for it, but even pest control says there’s nothing they can do it’s just the area we live in. I just keep tons of Raid on hand at this point because I just expect to see it and they claim there’s not much they can do anyway. But if it’s because of the location it should be a part of the lease that roaches will take up residency too. We have to PAY for parking. Not once a year. EVERY SINGLE MONTH. As part of your rent and you aren’t even guaranteed your own spot. I asked for a reserved parking (which cost extra btw but I was getting so fed up I would’ve just paid for it) so I wouldn’t have to walk two buildings down with my two children by myself and they said “there’s too many reserved parking spots in your area” and there’s literally just one. They were working on replacing the stairs for some of the buildings and stopped construction after my stairway and y’all know what they did? They hired construction people to take down the old concrete but still used the same wood pieces they had before. The railing is still wobbly you can’t even trust to hold on to it. I’m surprised the stairs are still up to be honest. They are doing “renovations” to the exterior of the building but really they are just painting over the old cracked paneling. And I know because I literally sit on my rotting balcony watching them try to cover up what they can to make it look nice so they can just upcharge you for rent when your lease renews. They have one maintenance man you see daily and he is literally worked to the BONE by himself covering all the apartments each week, he’s actually really sweet and super transparent which I appreciate. All in all, it’s just a roof over our heads. If I could find something better at the price they offer in the same area I would’ve already left. You would think because of how bad it is here they would at least keep the rates decent but nope, I’ve ended up having to pay $400 more a month on my apartment they’ve done zero upgrades for, and they just say “we are going with the competitive rates in the area” of course you are. Y’all just want money just like every other apartment complex. I should’ve moved to the other complex beside walmart for all this. At least their playground is cleaner."
"I am extremely disappointed. I’ve been trying to get another unit since there was a roach problem. The Cheryl stated that she’ll call exterminator and get it treated and that she’s surprise. I feel like she knew there was a problem. I have requested for exterminators to come in they have not come in the past four weeks. I haven’t seen an increase in roaches. This is ridiculous. I left another message and I have a son who is two and has allergies and they have not responded. I’m so upset."
"Our experience here has been nothing but great! Cheryl and Andres have been amazing with communication, professionalism, and timeliness regarding any maintenance work needed. They are great with preventative maintenance work, and have fixed issues before we were even aware with the smart home security measures the community offers. This community is beautiful both inside and out, with a lovely leasing office team to help with any needs. There are tons of amenities between the gym, pools, parks, walking trails, dog parks, activities the leasing office hosts, the beautiful view of the water, etc. They are doing a great job of keeping tenants happy. With affordable living, beautiful views, and great management, we couldn't be happier! We have been here almost a year and just got our renewel, the rent increase was reasonable, so we will be staying an additional 12 months!"
"To any new tenant looking for a nice clean place to live. THIS is NOT it! The website is a false representation of what this apartment complex really is! This place is dirty, run down and the staff do not care. Maintenance has known since move in that the kitchen sink is broken an leaking water.. a week later still no fix. They allow nonresidents to take up parkimg spaces to fish in the pond, and as well leave trash behind. I have many pictures of what this place really looks like. But see a few provided. Okay so I've now been here 20 days or so.. They have come to fix my leaking sink 3 times.. Still leaking. Trash is still everywhere an although some bjg items are near trash cans.. those items haven't been picked up on trash day. The place is kept cleaner near the club hose entrance but not next to apartments further out. ALWAYS weed or smoke smell an non residents parking an fishing or smoking. TERRIBLE PLACE! Not worth the money at all."
