"I lost my packages several times within these six month. (Even lost packages in mailbox). The manager team did nothing but lie to me that they would compensate me if I made the good Google review. Also, when the policemen tried to contact them for the camera, they didn't reply the email. Don't live in such an unsafe building. There are several buildings nearby that have a front desk to pick up packages for you not just put all the packages in the room sith a silly digital system which is can't block your thief neighbor."

"Incredible living space and staff. Cortland Rosslyn offers not only a great location, but also amazing amenities. It's staff is also excellent. Very helpful with very clean and well-maintained common areas. I am constantly seeing staff cleaning, including the carpets, and doing a great job."

"My review is to highlight the great job that Nancy, who works at the front desk in the East building, does. I have lived in Cortland for two years and have met several good receptionists, but none like Nancy. She is a great professional, sweet, proactive, kind and she always goes above and beyond to help the residents. Many people live in this community, so it is easy for the relationship between neighbors and Cortland workers to become a little impersonal. However, Nancy makes an effort to learn the resident’s names and their units, making dealing with her feel more personalized and warm. It is nice to arrive at the building and have Nancy greet us with a big smile and by our names, chatting with us about daily life and recognizing us immediately to let us know if we have any letters or packages pending at reception thanks to the fact that she remembers which unit we live. This gives a feeling of home. Whenever we have asked her for help with package or community issues, she has immediately looked for solutions. My family and I are delighted with her and very grateful. We have seen other neighbors and they also have this feeling of home and warmth with Nancy. We hope Nancy is always at our reception! She deserves the best professionally and personally."

"I've been living in this apartment for a year now, and it's been fantastic. The building is new with top-notch amenities, including plenty of friendly spaces for remote work. And I think only they got this amazing dedicated children's playroom, which is a real lifesaver on bad weather if you have kids. The management team is excellent. They organize several monthly events that help neighbors connect, including some kid-friendly ones that have been a great way for parents to arrange playdates for their little ones in future. The manager is incredibly kind and empathetic. She is always attentive to our suggestions and quick to assist when needed. The maintenance team is on point. They fix stuff fast and keep everything clean. They're really sociable and love to make friends within the community. I would stay another year. It's a fantastic place for families, thanks to the playroom, the friendly management team, and the responsive maintenance crew."

"This should really be 4.5 stars. not 4 stars. I don't know if the negative comments are coming from people who don't want new residents or if it's something less sinister. I have lived here for 3 months now and it's been great. Maintenance response time is generally the same day. The apartments are huge, airy & well designed. The appliances are top of the range and my view, at least, is beautiful. I have read through some of the comments and I am baffled as to how resident excesses are blamed on management. On the complaint about hard to find parking, while I do not have a car, my storage unit is on B4 and it is practically empty whenever I go down there. Also, I have friends come visit and there is plenty of parking on B1, for entire weekends at some point. I am surprised to read comments about broken glass around the pool area because there are strict rules about bringing bottles to the pool and the lifeguard politely asks that bottles be removed. Also, why anyone would want to play music at the poolside, therefore being a nuisance to other users, is beyond me. Yes, there is some construction going on but it only happens during the day and never on the weekends. I barely hear any noise from my neighbors apartments while in mine although I can sometimes hear dogs barking when I am on the corridor. Noisy neighbors are not a management issue and you should tell your neighbors to shut it down. I agree that it is a very pricy building but it is generally worth the cost given the amenities and walking proximity to parks, grocery stores, Georgetown etc. The neighborhood is pretty amazing for that price. While I pay common area fees, these come to less than $30 for me. Maybe I am yet to get hit with the $120 fees. On rent increases, I find it hard to believe anyone will charge $3700 for a studio apartment, and worse that anyone is willing to pay that. My reason for deducting half a star is the fact that the trash chute has a sensor to open which keeps breaking meaning trash is left on the floor of the room. Management needs to get rid of the sensor and let people open the trash chute the regular way. All in all, this is a great building. A definite upgrade from my prior building and I think it is well worth it."
