Reviews of Universal at Gray Station
"Had such an amazing experience! I recently moved into a unit and Tatum was so great with answering an questions I had. Every time I called or stopped by someone was there and willing to help! Also, the apartments are gorgeous!"
"If you have a mobility disability, this is not the place to move into. Only the older buildings have sidewalks with ramp cut outs. Now they are no longer putting them in. If you have a wheelchair or scooter you are only able to up and down the sidewalk as there is no way to get into parking lot. I didn't discover this until too late. When I asked about this I was told I had cover the costs of putting it in. I would have to pay thr contractor, have plans drawn up, pay for liability insurance, etc. With the snow and everything this past week we received an email telling us we were responsible to clear the snow and ice in front of our units. I use a walker. That is impossible for me to do. I have a service dog who needs to go outside during the day. It was very difficult this past week. My sister went to the office to address the issue. It resulted in an argument. They then called the police. They told him they wanted me out of the complex."
"Horrible! I lived here for 6 months from Dec of 2022 until July of 2023. First and foremost I have been attempting to contact the regional manager for months and have not had any contact. While living at the complex, the property manager asked another middle aged man (tenant) to film and take pictures of other residents. One night my 20 year old girlfriend was walking our dog and looked up to her being filmed and taken pictures of. This really startled and scared her so I brought it to the attention of the property manager. The property manager then told me that she had asked him to film other tenants and this had been going on. The state of Tennessee privacy laws forbids this from happening. The apartment complex is allowed to ask tenants to film but has to provide a universal living device to film on. Privacy laws of the state of Tennessee entitle myself and all residents to the database and pictures obtained and if they fail to comply it is a breach of privacy. After bringing this to the attention of the new property manager (Brittany) and assistant (Yazmin) nothing was done time after time. Universal likes to advertise a safe environment but how can tenants feel safe when they are being filmed by people in the middle of the night and also having multiple things stolen off their back patio. I was threatened to be fined for having outdoor string lights, outdoor chairs, outdoor rug, decorations, and an electric fireplace. These rules are in the lease so I did comply however for future tenants, you will be charged for this additional square footage but cannot use it. I was also threatened with a fine for storing a trash bag on the back patio because the garbage dumpsters had been full for over a week. Overall it is overpriced, micromanaged, and unlawful. I hope this post grabs the attention of the regional manager so we can finally have a conversation!"
"Gorgeous property and the staff there are incredibly friendly and helpful. Brittany has been a God-send during this process. She has been beyond patient and caring, going above and beyond while maneuvering moving my daughter in to her first apartment. I can't recommend Universal and Gray Station more to someone looking at moving to this area."
"We recently moved into our unit and I genuinely have nothing but great things to say about this neighbourhood. The unit is gorgeous!!!! Everything here is kept up and extremely clean. The neighbours from what I’ve experienced are extremely quiet and respectful. The ladies in the office were great and easily available during the whole move in process.."
