Reviews of Club Wyndham Patriots’ Place
"Great location for visiting Historic Williamsburg. Room was very clean and comfortable. Could use some updates but since you go to the area for the attractions you only use the room at night. This is one of three Club Wyndham properties in that area."
"The king suite was perfect! The kitchen could be updated, but it didn't affect our stay there. Nice that it had 1 shower stall + 1 tub/shower room = 2 sinks which was perfect!"
"I am a man who loves a bargain, but I do also require it to come with peace of mind. In this case, gents, please pay extra to stay at one of the neighboring hotels on the strip. As others have said, you will be hit with a time share spiel in order to get your keys. We negotiated back and forth for 10 minutes to get into our rooms without agreeing to attend a presentation. When we were out touring they also called me AND texted me to try to get me to come to the presentation. Our room did actually lack some things that we wanted (enough dishwashing detergent for our stay), but at that point, we were honestly so annoyed and spooked by being bothered so much that we didn’t want to approach them. If you do insist upon staying here, please plan ahead for cooking. I recommend microwaveable meals and refrigerated items. The stove burners did not work, and we had already purchased eggs. I thought that I could bake them for us but after 25 minutes in the oven, they were still raw. I turned up the oven as high as it would go and finally was able to get us baked eggs after an additional 45 minutes of waiting. However, the heat somehow impacted how easily the oven door would open. I had to muscle it open and in the process, I burned my hand. I can attest that the walls are thin and that smells will carry. We were blessed to have agreeable neighbors, but I can definitely see why some folks in the reviews were concerned about sound and smell. The room was old, but we were expecting that. I can te you that we were concerned about how well it was cleaned, though. There was a candy bar wrapper next to the bed. I am giving the location at least a couple of stars with excellent location and because we liked the bathroom amenities, but I don’t want to come back."
"We stayed here while visiting Busch Gardens Christmas Town. The location was convenient, the staff was friendly, and the prices were low but the rooms were much smaller and not as nice as they seemed in the photos we saw on the booking website. The walls were incredibly thin and our first room had an overwhelming mildew smell. We were transferred to another room that only had a slight mildew smell. We didn't realize this was a timeshare location and ended up in a timeshare presentation early in the morning that lasted nearly 45 minutes longer than promised, though we did at least get some free perks for attending. We'll definitely be back to visit Busch Gardens again but we won't stay here."
"For the price our stay was fine. During check in there was a lot of pressure to attend a sales pitch for a timeshare. I repeatedly said no, but the pressure continued. I finally said maybe, so I could receive my room key. Parking was a nightmare in the evenings. It was very limited and there was no overflow parking. Our last night we drove around for a lengthy period of time and couldn’t find anything. We finally parked in the grass. I’ve been at other places with limited parking, but spots were marked with a room number. After a long day of touring the area and walking, it’s not right to not have a parking spot at the end of the day. They can definitely do better."
