"We thought we would enjoy a river cruise but how much we actually did enjoy our recent trip exceeded our expectations. My wife and I took our first river cruise in early October 2017 that started with a side trip to Prague. Once on the ship, we cruised on the Danube River for seven days ending in Budapest. We were on an Avalon Waterways ship with about 110 passengers. The accommodations, crew, food, cruise guide and tour guides were wonderful and we felt pampered the entire trip. The "post card" sites and scenes we encountered will forever be etched in our minds. We especially liked that we got to know several of the passengers and at every ship meeting or gathering, we saw familiar faces. That is one of the benefits we expected from a river cruise. The other thing we liked was that even though there were scheduled tours very day, we could just stay back and relax on the upper deck, in the lounge or in our stateroom with food and drink readily available. This is the forth trip Rochelle DeBaun, Peace Frogs planned for us, and like the others, everything went smoothly and we felt we got the most for our money. If you are looking for a more relaxed way to visit a variety of places, not have to worry about moving to another hotel and like the idea of being with a smaller group, consider a river cruise."
