"Got our boy Oscar from VBSPCA in Nov. of 2023. I was pleased with our experience. We also recently just got our newer addition (another kitty) spayed through VBSPCA! They make it affordable to get your pets spayed or neutered! My vet was asking $500-$600!! I got my girl fixed for $95 through VBSPCA! Very friendly staff as well. Never had an issue anytime I’ve spoke to anyone. Oscar is the one on the right in my photo provided. His name used to be Renogade when he was in the shelter. He had been one of the biggest blessings in our lives! Thank you so much VBSPCA!"

"I took my baby to get spayed. They did an amazing job. She was back to herself the next morning! I took precautions and used her cone and gave her the prescribed medication. My girl is healing nicely and no issues! Highly recommend. The staff is so kind and welcoming! Go see the team at VB SPCA!!"

"My experience with the lovely folks in the cattery was amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and extremely informative. Any questions or concerns I had, they were able to answer them and did so with kindness. The lady at the front, and I apologize, I don’t mean any offense and I hope this doesn’t come off wrong, but I didn’t catch her name and don’t know how else to relay who it is I’m talking about, but the kind of shorter woman, maybe Pacific Islander? one, who works with the adoption side, she is heavenly. She was beyond sweet each time I’ve been up to the shelter. She takes her time and doesn’t make you feel rushed. She explains everything thoroughly and ensures you can understand. She’s the one to help you with the microchip information and everything else. She was beyond kind, provided me with lots of information, kitten food, toys, etc. The adoption process isn’t too lengthy. They do try to pair you with an animal to ensure a forever home and not an adoption “failure.” So if an animal doesn’t do well with small children and you have them, don’t expect them to change policy and allow the adoption to take place. Just read each animals placard and see whether they fit your home life and proceed from there. The shelter is clean. The staff is friendly. The cattery has many kitties to choose from, from little kittens to adorable seniors. My entire adoption fee was $165, which is honestly pretty cheap for a fully vaccinated, spayed kitten. 10/10 would recommend. And what’s a review on a shelter without cute animal pics of the little one they adopted to you? Here’s my baby. Though she has a few more days in her cone, she is extremely loving. Just a tiny ball of delight. The whole family is just in love with her. She is a cuddle monster, though you can find her sleeping anywhere; from the middle of the laundry room floor to a windowsill to the couch, your pillow, wherever."
